DSP YouTube Search Results Experiment -

I wanted to see if DSP actually doesn't show up in search results in incognito.
  • "Dragon Quest Builders 2 playthrough": first page
  • "Mega Man Wily Wars playthrough": first page
  • "Ghostbusters the Game Remastered playthrough": first page
  • "Borderlands 3 playthrough": had to scroll and get more results once
Trough Tor he was on the first page for every search.

Is this just me?

So when I searched for "Dragon Quest Builders 2 playthrough" on Opera's private mode a DSP video came up after scrolling down to get more results twice (and of note there were two of his videos in that third page), but it was still wedged between a collection of videos with considerably higher views than it. In fact his videos have the lowest views of all the videos in the search so far.
  • Wily Wars was first page (lowest views again, barely getting beat out by some random named "doctormario4600" who only has 3k views)
  • Ghostbusters remake was first page (part 1 in his playthrough is in the results so for once his video doesn't have the lowest views... Except part 5 also showed up and it's only got 1k making it the lowest views on page 1)
  • Borderlands 3 was second page (part 1 again so Phil is saved from having the lowest views on the page, but not by a lot and still one of the lowest view counts)
Fun little experiment, really shows that it's not Youtube fucking DSP out of views, people just don't want to watch him. He's still just as good at spamming and abusing the algorithm. He did nothing wrong, he did everything correct.
