New episodes are out.

The first one is about Webby and the boys having fun at a chucky Chesse like place with the Beagle Boys and Ma Beagle showing up. This episode is probably love it or hate it, depending on someones opinion on Webby in this cartoon. personally I liked it, partly because Ma Beagle is coming off as an awesome villain who has seen some shit and can't give a damn about the stupid plans of her sons.

The second one surprisingly already goes into the Della Duck subplot in parts and has Huey going thrugh some humiliating hijinx, while also introducing us to this version of Gyro Gearloose.

His introduction is already pretty damn funny.

Shut up everyone, I have done something brilliant!

Poor Webby, she tried to fit in, but screwed-up big time. I'm hoping there will be plenty of character development for her. I agree with your feelings on Ma Beagle; hard-assed

Gyro is a much different character in this version and that's not a bad thing. I have a feeling that Little Bulb will become a future villain later on, possibly for GizmoDuck to fight (there's already a teaser for it at the end). We get a nice nod to Robotica.

As for Della, what Dewy found out does blow out my main theory. My guess is what helped create the gap between Scrooge and Donald is that Donald thought what Della did was in the right.

As new episode begins...

Uargh. New original Ducktales character that behaves like a "cool" teenager and becomes Webby's friend. People will start to draw porn of her in less than an hour

As episode progresses...

Okay, the character is not that bad. And hey, new Beagle Boys introduced. Also, episode is awesome Warrior's reference overall.

At the end of the episode...
AUNT MAGICA?!

Overall, the last two episodes were better. But the new character Lena is not necessarily hateful and I think it works as standalone as well as introducing another myth arc aspect of the show. Just hope some new episodes will also start focusing on Scrooge and the adventure aspect more soon.

Here's what I've read about the future episodes...

  • [*]Terror of the Terra-Firmians: Huey and Webby’s disagreement over the existence of a mythic species leads the kids to explore an eerie abandoned subway tunnel, while Mrs. Beakley grows suspicious of Lena.
[*]The Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks: Huey competes with Dewey for a coveted internship with Duckburg’s newest tech billionaire, Mark Beaks, while Scrooge and Glomgold team up to take this new competitor down.
[*]The House of the Lucky Gander: Donald competes with his cousin Gladstone Gander to impress Louie at a mysterious resort in Macaw, while Scrooge tries to lure the kids away from the resort’s endless distractions.
[*]The Living Mummies of Thoth-Ra!: In a lost pyramid, Louie interprets a pharaoh’s prophecy to his advantage, forcing Scrooge and Launchpad to convince a group of living mummies to rescue him.
As for the spoiler, I had a feeling that's what happened. Anyway, Amazon will show the episode tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it.

I saw the episode and Lena isn't that bad. I also heard that there will be an episode about how Scrooge and Mrs. Beakley first met back in the 60s when Ludwig Von Drake was Scrooge's chief inventor. We might even get to see the pogo cane from the NES games.

I had a feeling that Lena was working for Magica the whole time. Probably in return for learning magic.

The new episode is out and Launchpad is damn funny in this one. There's also a neat ET reference with the Terra-firmians (who were in the original cartoon) as well as how Huey's Junior Woodchuck's Guidebook works. (In a way it's not that different than Webby's book.) As for Majicka, I miss her Eastern European accent, but new voice works for her (it makes her sound more dangerous).

I'm actually really interested in the next episode since I really like the concept behind Mark Beaks: the new millennium billionaire vs the old school. Throw in the fact that Scrooge and Glomgold hate him more than each other sounds like fun.

She is meant to be italian, not eastern european.
then again, doesn't matter. I just enjoy that she is voiced by Catherine Tate.
Personally I didn't think that much of the episode.
If anything I liked the character interactions. The actual story felt for me almost like only a set up for if we meet the Terra-firmians ever again (which btw were also part of the Carl Barks lore)

I am interested in that myself, though I hope they do not make the character to "obnoxious" with the millenial technology aspect. Not that the character acts up like a one trick pony in the end.

Given that he's driven by his own vanity and the attention and admiration he can get, opens up some different avenues of villainy and dirty tricks.

So...
- actually good cartoon reboot
- true to orgianal show AND COMICS
- cute artstyle
- no noticable toxic fandom and overhype so far
- classic adventure cartoon (I like the genre but it's dying nowdays)

Say that there is no gay ducks in the background and similar stuff and that one with dyed undercut is enjoyable character and this maay be my potential favourite new cartoon.
Even if I don't like the direction new Weeby is going (too similar to Mabel, Star Butterfly and other modern cartoon heroines).

I fucking loved Ducktales as a kid, and I'm really enjoying the reboot! You can definitely tell the Gravity Falls influence on it, but that's not a bad thing. I really love that Huey, Dewey, and Louie are separate entities instead of three clones in different hats, and I actually really like how they're handling Webby: she's still following the trend of hyperactive, violent Disney heroines, but the heavy dose of paranoia and social ineptitude balance her out, I think.

The only characters I'm not too fond of so far are Launchpad and Gyro. Both are hilarious, but I always thought part of the charm of Launchpad was his outrageous optimism and confidence in the face of abject failure, and he feels really, really dumbed down. And I have a soft spot for quiet, shy geniuses, so I wasn't too happy to see Gyro be yet another asshole genius. But at the end of the day, it's a show for kids and extreme characters are funny, so there ya go.

Also we got Swole Beakley and Donald in the main cast, and I'm down with that.

I fucking called Lena having something to do with Magica de Spell right from the start of the episode. You don't just carry a mystic amulet and NOT have something to do with her. And while I also miss Eastern European Magica, I'm absolutely here for more Catherine Tate-David Tennant interactions.

I was worried about Lena being some SJW type character or too much girl power, but I found myself kind of liking her. I have a feeling that she will do a heel-face-turn at the end of this season.

What's interesting is that the SJW geekdom sites have left the series alone since the first episode has been released. Maybe they'll have something to say when Fenton Crackshell (who is now a brown, Hispanic duck and voiced by Lin-Manuel Miranda) appears.

While I agree Webby is a lot like those characters you mentioned (Especially Mabel) it'd be a bit out of place and kind of annoying for her to be like the old "Hey uwnkle scwooge" Webby.

For the new episode, there's something funny about watching Donald suffer even if this is the most likable incarnation of the character I've seen. As well as seeing Donald using his flaws as a strength.

Donald using pure blind rage to win against dumb luck was by far the most heart-warming thing I've seen in a kid's cartoon. These are the lessons kids today need.

The new episode was hilarious and I honestly didn't see the twist coming in the last third of the episode. Mark has potential to be a good villain assuming he's not a one shot character.

Glomgold's beard is fake? I wonder what other secrets he's hiding.
