I cannot for the life of me find the setting that stops notifications being sent to my e-mail of every single alert i get. I would like to still get e-mail notifications from administrators but i want everything else turned off? Am I just an inept idiot or is there not an option to do this?

Two steps.

1. Disable your preferences to subscribe to threads and receive email notifications in all places here.

2. Unwatch all threads you are currently subscribed to.

I switched off notifications by clicking a link in a notification e-mail. Disabling them in forum preferences didn't work for me either.
