Gotta make money fast.why would you shut down the master server for a three year-old game?
What a scrub.Sorry, the title is misleading. These are all games that are affected by Gamespy's shutdown, and EA is actually trying to find a way to keep some of these games' multiplayer running.
NO U, M8What a scrub.![]()
Speaking of, I remember when they were called "Electronic Arts" and had those 3D solids as a logo. My avatar was made with a (relatively) famous paint program they made in 1990.
Yeah, it's essentially because EA reverse engineered the Genesis carts to avoid paying the licensing fees to Sega for releasing games on their system. The going rate was $8-10 per cart through Sega and EA only ended up paying $2 per cart to Sega. Sega, understandably tried to sue, but the judge ruled against them for some reason. Apparently EA even threatened to sell their tech to other companies and demanded a flat out cap $2 million in fees per game released, and didn't even pay Sega for dev kits as they just reverse engineered their own.Remember when EA Genesis cartridges were taller than most and had that weird yellow plastic thing on the top?
