Eli J. Brown, aka Eli J. Brony, is a Youtuber/DeviantArt user who... well, I should let him describe himself first:

So basically, he's a MASSIVE sperg for a LOT of different things. This manifest itself in a lot of content. I mean a LOT, including, but not limited to, "animations", lets plays, his own Thomas the Tank Engine Edition of Sonichu, and his OCs. He also really likes Bionicle, of all things.

The strangest thing I find about Eli is his change.org petitions such as trying to stop Youtube from making further changes to their website, rallying support to bring back something called "Majhost", trying to stop Nickelodeon from cancelling the show "TUFF Puppy", and petitioning to get a CGI Thomas the Tank Engine movie made. Some of the petitions have pathetically low goals, usually 100-250, but the YouTube one has an astounding 250,000 signature goal! He only got 80.

He also has a wiki for his "slideshows" and "animations" and two alternate Youtube channels (Lets Play and "Alternative").

I've seen him around for years in random comment sections on Youtube. Didn't really think much of it besides him being a typical spergy sonic fan/horse show fan. I clicked a video by him once while looking up to see if anyone had bought this 3d printed custom LEGO based on a cancelled set, and didn't notice till I heard the dude say "also known as eli j. brony" and I was like "fuck"

Spoiler: About the "Bionicle was killed by fate" thing

For those confused on the "anti Bionicle rumor" thing, Lego announced 2017 was going to be the final year of the rebooted Bionicle franchise.
People who are big into the whole "Lego scene" Had already predicted this because of the fact many original Lego IPs only last 3 years and this was a frequently discussed theory amongst Lego fans since they brought the line back.
Spergs began going nuts over it "ending soon because fans don't care enough to buy the sets" even though LEGO constantly praises how well the line has been doing. This all culminated in the ultimate shit storm when Lego mysteriously canned the series THIS YEAR instead of next year like they originally announced. Amongst the casualties are sets of the main Villain and some other leaks that will never really have confirmations on.

The reason LEGO gave was really vauge as well, merely saying it was cancelled due to "business reasons" despite it reportedly selling well.
Some still think it's due to poor sales globally, some think it's due to Disney pulling some sort of Bullshit license revokement threat on the grounds they don't seem to plan on cancelling the Star-wars sets that use the same sub-system made for the Bionicle sets at a higher price point. We'll never really know for sure.

Then you got this guy who thinks "rumors" themselves caused it.

I think it's the opposite, it's a pre-brony thing. It's just that Thomas the Tank Engine was big before the internet was a thing, and they probably watched it when they were actually within the target age group.
