I guess whenever she gets too agitated, he just throws a bag of whacky tobacky in her general direction and waits for her to smoke up and calm down.
Now that I think about it, maybe that is one of the things that makes her so unhinged: It's a negative feedback loop. The weed makes her psychotic, but it also stimulates her lizard brain by feel-good-juices released upon the drug use, since that is basically tied to her agitated behaviour, that gets rewarded, which means she internalizes the lashing out and the crazytalk to be actions that lead to the reward of drugs, which also makes her stumble ever deeper into the labyrinthine delusions of her drug induced stupor...

And yes: She desperately needs rest. A lot of it. Genuine rest, free of drugs and possibly far away from a telephone.
