Emergency Coronavirus Relief Act of 2020 -

  1. Open the fucking country. I'm sick of this shit. I thought COVID would magically disappear when Biden was elected, but apparently I underestimated the stranglehold the globalists have on our government.
  2. Blanket direct stimulus payments at the federal level are fucking retarded on multiple levels, and I'm not even talking about blowing out spending. Why should someone living in South Dakota (which never really locked down and currently has comparable jobless numbers to pre-COVID figures) receive the same payment as someone in California which has been locked down tighter than a Mormon virgin? Any why should South Dakota have to foot the bill for California? It's horseshit that these states can completely close up shop and then turn to Washington and say "lol bail us out pls".

What did the Dems promise Mitch to get him to throw Georgia? Because a political type like him isn't going to throw tantrums over something that's a guaranteed loss unless there's something huge in it for him.
Probably a nice retirement fund once he is gone, plus possibly a guaranteed successor.

McConnel's plan is easy to see. If he attaches the repeal of 230, the dems will suddenly be against it, and thus, when the bill dies because the democrats won't vote for it because of the attached pork, he can shift the blame on them rather than having to face the threat of the Republicans not backing the money increase in the Georgia elections. And he gets back in Trump's good graces because "Well, I, your good friend Mitch, wanted to give you everything you wanted, but the meanie Democrats fucked it up".

And then he loses the majority and it'll get passed next week anyway

I mean It was passed by Democrats in the house and senate like them or not and i certainly don't
Because they know where this is headed too, and both groups are just trying to pass the blame on to each other for why nobody is getting $2000.

The Senate didn’t even get a vote thanks to Mitch, but the fact that fuckers like Dick Durbin also spoke out against it means that the Democrats are also less than sincere.

It’s all Kabuki theater and my best advice for the Democrats is to call the bluff and pass it anyways, fuck Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey and their bottom lines.

I've personally given up in being politically invested amd have embraced the grift to squeeze as much free money as possible out of the government as legally possible

I was under the impression the action Mitch took was getting in the way of immediate unanimous passage.

He did that first, but since then, the only vote he's put on the calendar for it ties the $2,000 checks to a Section 230 repeal, and any discussion of voting on them independently has been shut down. Since the current proposal on the calendar has virtually no chance of passing, the logical assumption is that he isn't planning on letting it go through at all. Could he change his mind? Sure. But right now it seems unlikely.

Allegedly they started sending them out yesterday night. Have any kiwi's actually recieved their government funbux yet?
I recall my $1200 check came in relatively quickly, so it shouldn't be too long for me.
But yeah I think I've seen people with direct deposit from the irs are already getting them.

And McConnell blocked a vote on the Bill yet again. He knows he screwed up adding all all that extra trash to the Bill and is hoping it gets forgotten about.
