I know 18 is legal age and all that, but a person past 21 is much more mature than a 18 year old, and they shouldn't mix when it comes to fetish stuff online.

I assume it's more personality than looks, like girls on Instagram will think Kyle is attractive since he's just emo harry potter. and partly because this show was what a lot of the fandom watched when they were younger, so they become attached to the characters. But I do agree with you,

I've just been reading this thread for a while without posting but I'm guessing she's trying to get minors away from her or smth???? thats good i guess but she should really stop with the CP if she wants to change ya know? If I can be totally honest for a second, I don't think you or any other fbacc fans should feel shame for liking Fanboy and Chum Chum. Is it kind of an obscure show to like? Yeah, but I don't see anything morally wrong with enjoying it. What makes Emma disgusting is her insistence to keep drawing cp of the underage characters in the show. What I've observed from being involved in this situation is that most people in the fandom are minors who're trying to figure themselves out by projecting onto characters and/or have fun drawing characters they like (or drawing fanart because of nostalgia), much like people in other fandoms do. I really see no harm in enjoying this show no matter how old you are or how you identify yourself, Emma's just a creep.

You can like any shitty kids cartoon if it’s something you just enjoy in your spare time and it doesn’t have much of an impact on your life other than pointless entertainment, especially for nostalgic reasons. However if you’re unhealthily obsessed with it or looking way too much into it (the grooming being an example) especially at her age, it’s unusual. I could maybe understand if it was an edgy 13 year old on deviantart going through a phase and “rebelling” against comments mocking her terribly drawn naked and bloody Fanboy pictures, but if you’re going to post weird shit of a kids cartoon freely at least learn to keep yourself anonymous.

A bit of a powerlevel but I read a lot of fanfiction. I like to see what people come up with, and it's fun. However, you can def tell when its something someone wrote because they wanted to see the characters in a sad situation and write how the characters might deal with a situation like that vs. someone who gets their jollies off of suffering. The way it's framed is always very weird and focuses too much on certain aspects. From what i've seen on Emma's fabled fanfic, it def feels like someone who gets their rocks off to shit like that wrote it.

Yeah. Watching/listening/reading stuff from when you were a kid and feeling nostalgic is a good feeling and people should do it more because it's harmless entertainment that usually gets you in a good mood.
The line is drawn, however, when you aren't simply enjoying media, but obsessing over it to the point it turns into part of your personality and worse, you get off to it. This is just weirdo behavior and people over the age of 18 who thinks this is normal should seek help.

Dude, yes. I can tell when people are just writing about feelings or writing to get off. The repetition of certain words, the focus on specific minor scenes that otherwise wouldn't be given too much attention and the over description of an act over and over are all red flags. People who write like this are %100 doing it for their fetish.

Not much has happened for a bit, but Emma posted a ref for her character "Beatrice" who's supposed to be Fanboy's biological mother. In the post it's explained that this character was raped when she was only 16, which was how Fanboy came to exist.

I could maybe understand writing a character to have experienced some sort of awful trauma like this if they were made to exist in a darker/mature series or maybe your own universe, but why Fanboy and Chum Chum? This is like if someone took the characters from "Irréversible" and replaced them with Minions or some shit, it's too bizarre to take seriously.
