Last year (2020), I made an account on the wiki, since I wanted to volunteer and restore images on a few of my favorite articles and maybe get down to updating them with new stuff after that, but like, as soon as I looked away for a few months, there's another fucking ED Civil War going on right now.
You can never know what can happen in the future tbh. But at the same time I'm not that surprised either.
I am leaning on Team .online, I always did felt suspicious about Aediot (he just kinda showed up out of nowhere iirc), so I'm going to give it another go in terms of restoring stuff. But currently, I don't know if its worth it anymore. I mean my account wasn't that big of a deal (I heard account databases got deleted earlier so I already made a new account and going over the steps to get editing privs) but still, I have the feeling that every year some crisis (it was Zaiger, now its Aediot) always happens to the wiki and it feels like its all back to square one every time.
I'll still try to restore what I can later on, it's been getting easier for me, I can at least get the thumbnails back on some articles that I remembered reading through context and the WayBack machine+reverse image search, but still, shit gets confusing sometimes.

I posted the update to the site in a separate thread (in community watch) and got this;
As you can see, the fine admins at the farms are as helpful as ED admins.

Is there a way to have a script or something to restore the images for articles? I was doing it manually last year, but I always wondered of a more efficient way.
The .wiki site claims that they have a script but seeing that its by Aediot I doubt it.

You might be right. For me, its mostly nostalgia. I used to read the site a lot years ago (never really did much community wise, even now, most I did so far was just trying to fix the pics and articles) and I had some laughs. But I'll give it one more try, for now at least.

You got your info from an old FOTY article that erroneously had me (and Conrad) as in the army. Ironically when I asked for it to be changed to Air Force, your idol accused me of wanting to make me "look better".
I am happy to report most of the images have been restored on the wiki. We are also pumping out plenty of new articles, and old admins have come back into the fold. The site has never been down except briefly to migrate servers;
