It's mostly contract law, so it's dry, boring, and always ends in a settlement. I clicked through and he seems to represent the plaintiff in the random selection I chose; of which he got 3 settlements and 2 dismissals with prejudice.
He has a couple of custody hearings, of which one was dismissed (he represented the petitioner, the respondent has no representation listed) and the other was a support order (he represented the respondent.)
So he's not great at family law, at least, but he's a contract lawyer and seems to be acceptably competent in that field, albeit it's not a very litigious field.
How often do the lawyers you know get a dismissed with prejudice? He got that twice and 3 probably very low settlements

Acceptably competent in this case means "bats a high 400 and probably doesn't charge much for the swing."
If I were in a dispute where actual amounts were at stake, I'd spring higher, but, since most of the businesses listed seem to be small business (i.e. broke as fuck) I think they're getting about what they should expect from the pay grade they can afford.

Having a case dismissed isn't necessarily a bad thing, depends on what you are trying to get out of the case. Settlements are kind of the standard for most cases. Not a fan of Nick but why not take your thoughts on his legal prowess to his thread and stop shitting up this one.

Further to this, the spirit of the letter of the law is likely this: If you share the video inside one of these states, without the express permission of the people whom appear within the video then you are supposed to be held accountable.
Here is where Nick is a brainlet: Only if Ethan is liable and prosecuted, will anyone else be at risk of liability, but only so far as Faith herself pursues the matter. Ethan has no leg to stand on in-so-far as reporting this as he will be forfeiting his fifth amendment rights.
Up and until anyone (namely Ethan Oliver Ralph, the owner and editor in chief of theralphretort.com) is prosecuted and jailed, no one here should feel too worried, not-withstanding I still wouldn't recommend sharing it around if you live in Virginia.

The issue with Nick's take is this:
Everyone would have to be found guilty of it, based on the 4 separate requirements for prosecution.
So even if Ralph was found guilty of this, which would require Faiths involvement, some of the 4 points to prove would not necessarily be proven for someone sharing it on the Farms.
First, using it to embarrass Ralph isn't illegal, since he shared it himself to a guy who he knew was live-streaming at the time. He made it public.
Second, they would need to prove an individual user was sharing it looking to embarrass or harass Faith and her family, and doing so maliciously - this is where you would struggle, first since Ralph is a public figure for those who use this forum you can argue there is public interest in his behaviour, second if you post it with vitriol at Ralph then there is no evidence you are aiming it at Faith.
I think even with Ralph convicted of this, you would be unlikely to face any sort of problems from the legal system for sharing this - unless you specifically did so to spite faith, or her family/ ex.
