The appeal shit is giga cope by Vickers, nobody is going to appeal a shitty misdemeanor, it'd take longer to move through the appeals court then it would for Ralph to just serve his sentence.

I wouldn't say Ralph especially 'lucked out', suspended sentences are popular right now for relatively minor infractions like this. Its a good deal for everyone involved. Person gets to walk free, prosecutor gets their conviction and the convicted has to keep their nose clean for however long.
