Dress codes are fine but when do boundaries become so ambiguous that their scope of protection becomes control? As a parent, and as someone who separates their professional and personal lives, how much "control" would you allow another adult teacher to have over a son or daughter?
Examples and not limited to:
For that last one, an elementary school I went to actually enforced a day-specific color code for our uniforms. It was both creepy and fucking stupid. It never did anything but give the staff an excuse to grill peers for bullshit that has NOTHING to do with basic education.
Examples and not limited to:
- "Banning" Best Friends to Encourage Inclusiveness
- Fear Tactics Discouraging "Criminal Hand Signs"
- Banning Literature to Curtail Manufactured Outrage (Elementary Schools)
- Strict Uniform Codes Organized by Color According to Day of the Week
