As far as I remember that's already a "feature". If a club has less than 5 members (IIRC there are 6 members in every club, might be 5) it'll close forever. Of course, Alex could make it so that other students could apply to enter that club, but that means actually doing some work and we can't have that now can we

Yeah, thank you for correcting me. Also, killing a club leader results in that, because it's not like they can elect another one. And the entire feature is autistic as fuck: one of club members/leader sees you killing a student - they just won't allow you to join for some vague reason instead of "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID". It's also funny how he warns "be aware of who you kill, otherwise all clubs will be closed" and numerous rivals are club leaders. I thought, he said that it's a game about being a stalker psycho with no emotions beyond lust for a boy.

I am yet to get to that blogpost, but has he implemented members of Photography club following your every step if the atmosphere is too low? If yes, that means that you need to kill 2 students or a leader to stop that bullshit.

If I remember correctly you have to kill them all to get them to stop following you. Non-the-less its still retarded looking as all shit. With teachers a substitute will show up with a shnazzy new hair color and eye color but the feature is so buggy its pretty easy to break it and have a perpetually empty chair. Also I'm not sure if anyone called attention to this but in the may 1st bug fixing build he stated:

If you’ve got a bug like “no students spawn at school” or “Raibaru is permanently dead, even when starting a new save file” then press the “R” key at the Demo Checklist screen.

I played the demo when it first came out and there is a chance this shit is still on my computer. That will haunt my dreams.

* He gives himself asspats for listening to feedback and using that to progress development. That's worked so well for him thus far.
* He wants feedback for the difficulty of 10 rivals but can't do that with 1 rival in the game, so he's making a new game mode where you play as someone else killing 10 different rivals. He's essentially making an entirely new mini game as a foundation for this one. Alex's proposed game mode will be finished before Yandere Simulator itself, but he insists it won't slow down development to work on it.
* Because he wants to make the game mode rivals as "unique as possible", he's proposing changes to his Patreon by suggesting 10, 20, and 30 dollar tiers; 10 for silhouettes and vague statements, pay 20 for blurry images and footage (what a great deal!), and 30 for the best experience - he clearly wants you to pay for the $30 one. Then he asks his pay pigs what they would expect for their money.

Seems to me that now that his numbers have dipped under 2k seemingly permanently, he's worried. It's fairly obvious he wants to claw back some of that funding.

So instead of working on his 10 rivals, finishing their routes and THEN doing the kickstarter to remake the assets (all of which he'd never actually do).

Worried? When he was worried he just hinted that if he falls inder 2k, then he would have to find a job and YS would be just his hobby. I'd say he is desperate, like never before, since all his old tricks are bouncing back. Art contest - flooded with trolls and the interest to the game itself is all time low. Video with a bunch of excuses - no one is going around screaming "LEAVE ALEX ALONE, GREMLINS", people in comments call him out and he even turned off likes/dislikes. The only option is to release the game to win at least something back and he can't do it.

First he released a Definitive Demo where he finally finished Osana, then he made 50 patches for it, like all demos are known for, with him going so far as labeling it over time as versions A, B, and C. Now he’s making Definitive Demo 2, with 10 completely unrelated rivals being eliminated by a completely different protagonist. And he’s putting development updates behind a paywall.
You really have to give him credit for finding new ways to milk his fans and presenting incompetent mismanagement as development progress.

"A fool and his money are soon parted", and nowhere is this more accurately displayed than in the comments section of that Patreon post. It's still kind of amazing (and sad) how some are so willing to praise Alex for spending seven years slapping together premade assets and getting others to create new assets for him. But even then, of Alex's nearly 600 patrons (most of which are throwing just a dollar or two at him) only ten of them could thus far be bothered to provide feedback and that's after the Patreon post has been live for three days. So as stated above, a desperate attempt to turn the large number of single dollar patrons into minimum $10/$15 patrons to salvage both his income and ego, and I believe we can all somewhat accurately predict how well that's going to work.

It's still kind of amazing (and sad) how some are so willing to praise Alex for spending seven years slapping together premade assets and getting others to create new assets for him.

Saw one comment be so deluded as to claim that the drama surrounding Alex is series of smear campaigns (and then going on to say they'll let Alex suckle on their financial teet), as if public opinion on Alex is the result of one big tinfoil hat strategy to make Alex suffer. In reality it's just his actions and constant contradictions that people have very well documented, and they have yet to see that. Gave me a chuckle, regardless. It was such a brain-dead comment.

It's almost impressive to me how he's so desperate to not get a job that he's milking the one thing in life that he was semi-successful with which he fucked up, and he's desperately trying to get more funding out of it any way he can. He is very dedicated to the shut-in lifestyle funded by idiots, if only he put that dedication to better use.

He's been talking about it for years, we just didn't realize it would manifest this way.

This is the Yanchan's mom mode. This is that 1980's or whatever mode. Thats why there's no infochan, thats why your hand crafting items, thats why there's ten completely different rivals, but it still in the same school.

I wonder how he's going to react when he releases his "99% gameplay 1% story" mode, and realizes nobody really gives a fuck about the janky ass gameplay. At this point he's running a BATIM situation, where the community is more invested in the lore they built up themselves than whats actually present in the game. Detaching to a whole new mode with new chars loses that.
