I don't have enough mental sanity left anymore to tolerate his dull commentary and low energy gameplay for any longer then 20 minutes, unless it's him freaking out over stuff he didn't do wrong or I can laugh at him whilst he's in clown mode and I don't end up feeling drowsy. I couldn't imagine the endurance is must take you to watch a modern current Phil full TIHYDP video, my brain might just turn into mush.
Older TIHYDPs are way easier to digest because he's not being handheld by the chat 98% of the time so the game doesn't slow down to a boring crawl, it's all reliant on Phil's oblivious gears churning and he at least doesn't hate his job as much especially during the pre and early Machinima years.
I absolutely loved david davison's new hateful slurs video. I'm sure this one will get a storage unit in Dave's head near Turvin's ghetto mansion. I know a lot of videos contradict Dave's wrestling story line narrative but this is gold. I remember that COD stream where he called people f@ggots and laughed when seeing it again. He will have to do more mental gymnastics to explain it to his audience and how he did nothing wrong and gamers yell those words lol. Its 15 minutes of getting his ass slammed in the paint lol. The highlights for most TIHYDPs for me was the comments. Taking that away fucked with TIHYDPs way more than chat handholding imvho. The commentary is dull, the gameplay is always substandard, and though he always has his hand held you get blow ups all the time. He will go. The fuck. Off. On his chat for not telling him how to do something quick enough or in remedial enough terms so he can get it. And then you have absolutely legendary moments like Resident Evil3 when he pauses the game, put the controller down, and refused to play until someone told him how to be Nemesis (and he only reads tips and cheers so you had to pay to tell him how to ply the game as he berated a beloved game and whined at chat).
I can’t stand his streams (I’ve tried it on high anticipation games- the Resident Evil remakes, Divinity 2, stuff like that), I’m not one much for the DSP board, so the TIHYDPs is a good way to watch the drama if I miss something big and I don’t have to dig through clips. I just turn these on in the background and clean or do dishes and roll my eyes.
the newer TIHYDPs on crash team racing are definitely classics because that's a skill-based game where chat couldn't be holding phil's hand, he had to do the race on the fly, and couldn't use his normal stalling hand-holding tactics to ruin the playthrough.
This is my kind of a content, someone with a background in psychology analyzing DSP's "HATEFUL SLURS?!" rant. Your mileage may vary based on how much you can handle the poster but he makes some great points.

I appreciate this because this Steve guy isn't dedicated to DSP (as far as I can tell looking at his upload history), and is able to keep calm and rational about things. There are several "real" detractor videos that went over this rant and some of them got a little too heated. I get it, Phil is a dislikable
BlooperWorldOrder has been killing it lately. This video should be used in a classroom setting for describing how to spot a blatant lie.
Thanks for posting this. Very sound stuff and near identical cam quality lol. He rambled a few times like he had just hit the slopes and was a bit incoherent but he summed up Dave pretty well.
Agree about a bunch of the usually detractor videos. Loved that he mentioned the cult and how Phil hypnotizes with repetition. This video was something different.
I’m not very familiar with James the Lesser, can someone explain why everyone here hates him? Was he a member of the Sons of Kojima?
