This guy has a wiki with over 1000 articles about him, people and places revolving around his live. A youtube archive channel with some videos reaching 300.000 views and all videos combined over a million views. Articles about him all over the internet. A forum dedicated to him etc. After all those years there is still interest in his persona. People following his every step, even stalking him and stealing his old schoolwork. I could go on and on.

No seriously, what do you guys expect him to think? At least be fair to him. Even a non-autistic person (but I'm not saying a well-adjusted person) would think of himself/herself pretty highly.
Also, to most people here on this forum he certainly is a megastar. Deny it all you want but you know it's true. You love the eCeleb gossip. Admit it.

It is perfectly acceptable for an individual to have a healthy self-esteem, but Chris goes far beyond that: he's a complete fucking narcissist.

Chris was a mess before the trolls discovered him, he'd already been banned from several local establishments for defacing/damaging property, loitering, and being a public nuisance in general.

It was Chris that brought the attention of the trolls down on himself by his over-blown reaction to a perfectly innocuous little image of an overweight, dorky guy playing Pokemon with a bunch of little kids. If he hadn't reacted the way he did, people would have had a momentary chuckle, and it would have been on to the next thing... Chris painted a target on his own back.

And Chris still hasn't learned. It's really quite ironic, he's all upset abut the Something Awful pic from years ago, and yet he willingly posts even more cringe-worthy pics of himself, with no prompting from the trolls.

Also, no trolls were involved in the Blarms incident, the shoplifting, or the Game Stop pepper spray incident. That was ALL Chris.

If you want to blame someone for creating the monster that Chris is today, blame Barb and (to a somewhat lesser extent) Bob. They were always going on and on about how Chris needed to be protected yadda yadda yadda and yet they let him wander off on his own around the Internet (somewhat analogous to letting a toddler wander into freeway traffic). Yeah, they were old and most likely knew very little about the Internet but, if they were so concerned about Chris and his welfare, then they should have made the effort to find out more about the place where Chris spent so much of his time.

Barb and Bob could have limited his Internet time, or installed 'net nanny' type software, which doesn't require a great deal of technical expertise/finesse. But apparently, they had better things to do, like going out bar hopping, and were content to let the TV, Internet, and Playstation fill the role of babysitter/surrogate parents.

Barb, in particular, fueled Chris's narcissism and instilled in him his sense of entitlement and victim mentality.

I don't think you know the definition of megastar. Like Kanye West is a megastar. Drake is a megastar. Beyonce is a megastar. Chris is more along the lines of a reality show star you hear about. Yeah there's interest but I like to think most of us wouldn't lose our shit if we saw him in public.

It's because it was a little too truthful (hence my 'feels' rating) that it didn't come across tongue-in-cheek and I honestly don't believe it was meant to be. I think you're back-pedalling because you realised you preached it to the wrong audience.

The fact you're pressing this point and telling us how we should feel about it (CWC style, ironically) instead of just letting it die is just making it worse. People give each other shit on here all the time, look at the nature of the board and its diversity. You might get dumb ratings one minute and winner ratings the next.
