I'd laugh if he was also going for a CADD Certificate like Chris. I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case.
I'm curious if we could ever find some work samples from his computer classes. I imagine he was a poor student, and we know he wasted college resources on DA and tracing images, but I want to see Phil's work. Mainly because he refuses to work at all nowadays.
As of 2007, I can attest that Phil believed that anime was synonymous with yaoi was synonymous with BDSM. Whatever website gave him the idea, he referred to his spanking board as a "yaoi paddle," and as soon as Dusty came in his crosshairs, he was kitted out in bondage gear telling everyone Dusty was his master / owner.
And yes, it was in the same smug, self-important know-it-all tone as when he was explaining Communism in the Occupy video.
Prity much what @Weeping With Pity said, he was looking for Gay anime and it progressed from there and got increasingly more bizarre over time, I'm knocking together a progression of Phil's deviancy for part of my write up on Phil's sexuality that explains it better.
Did you ever see any of his stuff he wrote about Yaoi paddles? He put together this long rambling history of the yaoi paddle and did a few self insert write ups about it too.
Nope! Closest I ever got was him showing pictures around the club of his paddle. I don't know if I remember him talking about them before he lost interest in Kory, but I know there were a few times he was screaming at Dusty to use it on him. At least one of those times he was in tears from the rejection.
Oh you really should, you'd get such a kick out of them it's unreal - he dedicated more brain power to his history of the yaoi paddle than anything else he did in 2008 an you could tell it was taxing him to write it.

Let's just say Deviant Art lived up to it's name, What he did was look for gay anime found some paddling pictures and it for whatever reason clicked and he just ran with it. As weeping said every time he talked about them it was delivered in a condescending tone that I'd describe as the Rat that thinks he's got all the cheese.
That autistic, condescending tone when he lectures to people about shit he either made up or doesn't understand is probably at least half of why people utterly hate his guts. That tone of voice is why Rainbow Jesus ran to intercept him at that Occupy interview thing. Even more than his retarded costume, that's what makes him come across as a hateful, completely insufferable piece of shit.
It's not that it gives an incorrect impression about his personality, though. It's that it's all too accurate.
I don't think anything he's ever gotten has matched his expectation. That's a large chunk of why he's so bitter, and has just taken to lying about getting things.
To be fair, we're still finding people who've lost touch with Phil and assume he's still at the point of the downward spiral they knew him at, or even doing better...
Phil has not learned there are two ways to deliver information. His method is "Knowing this makes me better than you," which is not half so endearing as "this is awesome and everyone should know it!"
Hey if you guys don't mind me asking, who's Amaterasu? is it Phil's headmate or something? But they're also real Japanese teenage girl who is also a millionaire Interpol agent who bounces for a bar or something? Just to add to this, Phil's sorta forgotten he even has a headmate he only developed them when they where the "in" thing amongst his friends, he used the Ameratsu bolocks as pure unadulterated wish fulfillment - if Phil wanted to beat some one up well Ameratsu just did, Phil wanted to have sex well his dom just had a session with him, if Phil wanted to travel well guess who just hopped on a plane...

Was it you that said he gets deeper and deeper into his fantastical delusions when he's stressed? Here's why I believe that wholeheartedly: one night after finding out that the place we had been crashing at was no longer an option, we had to sleep in a park on the bank of the Delaware. Those of you who have been following Phil for a while may remember his "cave". What he called a cave was really no more than a crack in the rock. You had to crawl in backwards on your belly, and with all the shit he had piled in there, there wasn't enough room for two people. Naturally, I refused to sleep there. I wanted to call 211 (the hotline for resources in the US, you can call and give your location and ask for things like shelter) for a place to stay, but he guilted me into staying with him. This was also in the middle of summer, on the bank of the river, on the east coast. So we were concerned about mosquitoes. But I was unable to start a fire with the materials we had. So it was stress on stress on stress and he couldn't cope as " ahuviya", so "amaterasu" came out.
Tldr: Phil is a giant man baby who can't handle stress
Yes it was mate, the longer you allow Phil to get away with shit the more egregious he get's with his claims.
Sounds like a handy way of guilting you into staying with him at the time. What a shit.
