I don't really have an issue with research tbh. What pisses you off about it?

The old system used to feel pretty smooth. It just progressed nicely. The new system has these massive plateus. You unlock a new research level and spend like an hour getting setup for the next due to all the stuff you just unlocked and now need to build. It's probably because I'm so used to the old system, though.

this is the base im currently working on:

these are the two nuclear plants that power everything:

the 4-core plant outputs 480MW, and the 6-core plant adds another 800MW, for a total 1.28 GW. so far the base only consumes around 700MW at peak, and most of the time it's between 300 and 400, so the power is probably gonna be fine for a while

I could show you a hell of a factory I'd spend a thousand hours on... if Factorio ever came out on something portable. Switch, Android, doesn't matter, let me sperg out during downtime at work.
