The faith shit is the most frustrating shit on this subforum. I was sympathetic to her in the early days of all of this, but this shit just doesn't fucking end. At least Vickers generally stays focused on fucking with ralph, and even through all of his self owning, routinely manages to get an equal or greater reaction from ralph. With him I can at least empathize with his motivation to go after Ralph at great cost, despite it being obvious to everyone else that it's a terrible idea. Faith is just on a never ending trip of manipulation, and the indignance she shows when anybody gets in the way of her victim narrative constantly undermines any entertainment there is to be had.

But holy shit. Sandra was dying. She died within a year of Faith coming to VA. On top of her terminal illness, the woman was clearly abused by her son and (based on the way Ralph acts towards women) she probably took abuse from Ronnie before him. Sure she was broken and dying, but she needed to protect Faith!

This is the problem I have with people going after Sandra. Ralph was her caregiver, and according to some he stole her disability checks in years gone by.

His selfish actions meant that despite her caring for him, clothing him, paying for his drugs, when he finally started to earn money after living rent free with her for years, mooching about online, she saw no benefit. He drank it all, took drugs, did not think for a moment that maybe he should get his credit rating right and move her and him into more a comfortable living arrangement.

People talk about how Ralph didn't visit her, but even prior to that he treated her like shit. He could have made her life so much better before she passed, but instead he refused to pay student loans and could not get a mortgage, he spent his money on makers mark and left the house in disarray. He loved his momma though guys!

Then Sandra, who was frail and dying, is now in a house witnessing him doing unconscionable stuff to some 18 year old. You can speak up, but then what? You've got to live with him, if he gets forced to leave you don't have a carer, noone is left to take you to hospital. What if he gets violent like he did with Faith, or like Ronnie?

It's easy to criticise, but I think based on her situation Sandra didn't have much of a choice in any of this. She was an old frail woman living with a monster.

1 Go against Ralph at this point in her life or rather the ending of it and

Im sure the reality for American young adults is no different well of course except the drinking age being 21 but im sure most people get around that. Faith feels her parents failed to look after her properly so she is especially sensitive to any hint of neglect in her other relationships. Sandra was a dying old woman who didn’t owe her shit. She was barely holding her own life together, no thanks to her good for absolutely fucking nothing oldest son/sponge. If anything, Faith should have intervened on Sandra’s behalf as a young, able-bodied third party who saw her subjected to elder abuse and theft of her funds by Ethan.

Faith’s “poor me” shit does NOT play well but she’ll never grow up or give it up. She thinks her supposed victimhood is all she has, and that it defines her. Too bad for Xander, who needs a fully present mother willing to sideline her own pity parties long enough to put him first.
