You'd have to run Tale of Two Wastelands to make that work in NV though.
I was about to say, Point Lookout is on the other side of the US in Mane and we are currently in Arizona. There is probably a mod for FO3 to not start in the vault to be lore friendly to the Bob Cinematic Fallout Universe.
I wouldn't go that far. I'm not even going to do the DLC for New Vegas. Old World Blues is tempting, but I'd go there at high level and speed through it. New Vegas is so unstable that I try to keep mods to a minimum.
I could theoretically do a run of FO3, but I think one Moviebob run is already too much. I could do a low int run role playing as DSP or something, but that would be a long way off since I'll likely be burned out on Fallout after this.
Sounds like a Games For Windows Live problem.
I think the vault start is worth doing at least once. I think the end of that scene is overrated, but there is a reason why all Fallout games since have tried (and failed) to copy it.
I've heard good things about the GoG release, but I don't own that myself so I can't give an opinion on it.
I don't know about that. I have FO1-2 and New Vegas on GOG, but FO4 soured the whole "Bethesda Fallout" thing for me.
Sure, FNV is a shoddily cobbled together mess that requires fan-made patches to gain a semblance of stability, but show me one Gamebryo/Creation Engine game that wasn't the same. FNV is entertaining at least and it's a very close second behind FO2 for me.

BOB GETS REVENGE
With the Boomers dead, it was time to report back to Mr. House. But first we had some housekeeping. Bob was now powerful enough to take the NCR head on. In character, we can say that Boomers were the straw that broke the Mario fans back.
He fast traveled to various farms, killing farmers and NCR alike, including a quick trip to Goodsprings to kill the farmers there, including Easy Pete.
I went out of my way to pick up Veronica. I don't like companions in Bethesda games, but people wanted to see her. Plus, a lesbian from a technology cult that punches people so hard they turn into paste? Bob was in love.
That's not the outfit.
She joined Bob on his quest, only to run as far away as possible when she thought he wasn't looking.
HOW LITTLE HE KNEW
Mr. House was indifferent to the Boomers being dead. Next up, Bob has to find out what the Omertas are up to and stop it. Starting the quest How Little We Know. The problem was Bob had already tried that quest and got stonewalled by his lack of social skills. After asking around, Bob was told killing the key players in the Omerta's smuggling operation would put a stop to it.
Killing Troike was simple enough, but the game consistently crashed during the escape. Such is New Vegas. I loaded a previous save and killed a different character. This worked.
BROTHERHOOD BLUES
Next up, the Brotherhood of Steel. Since Veronica was with us, gaining entry was easy.
Just like the Boomers, Bob started doing quests for them to get into their good graces, but found progress slow and his lack of social skills meant they were unlikely to give him the self destruct codes, and his lack of technical skills made hacking the computer out of the question. Time for murder. Unfortunately for Bob, they used their advanced technology to trap him in the frozen loading screen dimension.
With the direct assault failing, he used a stealth boy and stole the self destruct arming keys. With the self destruct system armed, Bob waddled to the exit. Veronica was offended by Bob's actions and walked off into the desert.
SURPRISE ENDGAME
With the Brotherhood delt with, Bob's next quest was to visit a power substation. The place was fun of NCR troopers, but they were asleep. Bob took care of that.
"Burn obsoletes burn!"
I don't know why I had Bob use a flamethrower so much during the late game. It just seemed to fit somehow.
It was time for the final quest. This came as a surprise to me because I remember the game being longer. I assume that Bob being on bad terms with the NCR meant it skipped the quest where you had to assassinate or protect the president, and skipping the Brotherhood and Boomer quest lines through murder drastically shortened the game.
To show just how much shorter, the base game level cap is 30, and the game recommends to be level 15 or over to start the DLC. Bob was level 15 at the final quest of the game.
The final battle was hard fought, but eventually Bob made it across the dam.
Bob is going to enjoy this.
The final boss was difficult and took several attempts, but with enough drugs Caesars legion fell.
Bob ended the game on neutral karma. He killed many farmers and obsolete, but I guess all the dead raiders made up for it. I was surprised areas like Sharecropper farms didn't get a mention during the ending slides.
I tried to make a webm of the slides. I don't know if it worked.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Bob's low agility combined with guns that are slow to reload made for a run that was often slow, awkward, or boring, but occasionally challenging.
I'd liked to have done more side quests, but Fallout New Vegas is a long and slow game with long peroids of walking through the desert with nothing happening. The novelty of playing a lolcow was running thin by the end, and I doubt I'd have the patenteince to play this character for 50 hours.
I hoped the warzone mod would have added more combat to break the monotony but it became obvious early on that the epic battles that the mod promised were limited to a few isolated areas and were often decided quickly.

Problem is, House is an avowed capitalist and a dictator. Bob wouldn't be on board with that, since House is just basically Trump 2.0 plugged to a computer. House runs businesses like casinos and hotels, he believes in capitalism, and he has an unforgiving border policy where his robot soldiers simply shoot people for not having the right papers or amount of caps when they come to the city.
I can see Bob going for the NCR or the Yes Man approach instead, since the NCR is a liberal democracy that's right up Bob's alley, while the Yes Man approach allows Bob to become the ruler of the Mojave so he can institute his SUPERIOR FUTURE himself.

Maybe you should do a Fallout 3 playthrough as well. I can imagine him HATING the Enclave's guts with that kind of attitude, since the Enclave under John Henry Eden practically WORSHIPS 1950s America.
I can see that as well. But I can't see Bob siding with House. Especially if there's an option to overthrow the man. House is Trump 2.0, and killing House and taking all his shit will satisfy Bob's Trump Derangement Syndrome. Ditto for him killing Caesar, since he hates "right-wing fascism".
House has all the robots, has plans for a technocratic future and the means to get it. Bob is a consoomer who idolises figures like Miyamoto, Iwata, and Disney. He's also shown he doesn't give a shit if a country is a totalitarian police state as long as they have cool robots and produce product he likes (see his love of China).
I doubt he'd go Legion, but their genocidal hatred of the "right targets" (the NCR) means Bob might side with them. It's like how Bob is anti-feminists in old videos, and in his actions, but claims to support them for short term convenience.

I wouldn't play FO3 or FO4 as Moviebob simply because the games lack the character to allow it.
FO3 has 3 ways to play. Goody two shoes, psychotic evil, and neutral disinterest. There's not really any factions to side with either. You're always Brotherhood of Steel.
FO4 has only 2 options. Yes man and sarcastic yes man. For faction, I think Bob would be Institute or Brotherhood. I never finished the main quest in that game.
I plan to make a sequel in The Outer Worlds. I'm torn between playing Moviebob or Jim Sterling. Jim would be full communist. Moviebob is a bit more tricky because he is a consoomer who would side with corporations, I don't know if he'd sell out the scientist character to do it. I'd have to put that up to a poll. That playthrough won't be for a long time yet though.

Although unlike China, House doesn't give two shits about private practices like Falun Dafa, so Caesar would be more the dictator that Bob would work for. Or he'd be more likely to go the Yes Man Route and make himself the dictator. You know how he loves to talk about how people like him can usher in the superior future.
The Brotherhood is a technology-based society that's up to Moviebob's level. Fighting patriotic Americans like the Enclave is also what Bob would want. You can play him with neutral disinterest because he doesn't care about people he doesn't agree with.

Maybe a KOTOR 2 playthrough? Like say, the Sith are trying to institute the SUPERIOR FUTURE Bob talks about but they realize he's an unfit slob so they send guys to kill him?
