tl;dr they wanted a White Slaughter Simulator 2018 and are pissed they didn't get it? That sum it up?

They're even madder now that it's been revealed that the cult leader isn't a white supremacist but an educated urbanite sociopath who moved to a rural area and manipulated the poor locals with pseudo religious teachings.

They shouldn't be surprised though because that's literally Jim Jone's backstory and that's who the character is based on.

The world is more than a 'black-and-white' ideology and people might have different opinions on many things?????

Even a leftard such as myself knows this basic knowledge, come on, it's nice to be challenged. Makes you realise there's more out there than you might think.
Unfortunately, some of these people are so convinced that they're "on the right side of history" that not only to they view dissenting opinions as wrong, but also view the opposing party as an evil that must be silenced and purged. So when they see a game that doesn't completely condemn the beliefs they hate, they pretty much lose their shit over it.

Weren't the family members very good people before the demon girl thing came along? (Except the son, he was always a school shooter type.)

you'ld have to finish the game, to actually know that.

funny though, how Re4,6 and 7 had no controversy, but the only one to feature black people, was accused of beeing a racist game, because enemies were mostly black.

To be fair, there *is* a lore text in the game that is a bit... uncomfortable... (explaining how all the black people were actually civilised until evil whitey infected them, and the virus caused them to degenerate into their old tribal ways, put on their warpaint and pick up spears and stop speaking/writing english properly) but yeah, most people who complain about the racism in RE5 are just mad that the enemies are black, they're shown dragging off a white woman, and the black female co-protagonist has milktea skin.

There was a current of accusing RE4 of racism but it didn't get too far cuz most Hispanics didn't really care about Spain being portrayed like Mexican villages, and just thought the spanish shouts were hilarious.

I remember that file, but I don't remember it saying that the zulus were civilized. Maybe they went from peaceful, to violent thanks to the parasyte. Now that would sound more credible. They were living in the swamps after all.
Or maybe you're talking about another file. I'm talking about the one that is clearly the ''itchy-tasty'' of Re5, that's situated in the small zulu village.

I remember tards on gaf/era beeing upset that they were portrayed as stereotypical black indigenous people.
But that is stil stupid, because even as of today, there are plenty of native africans, whom still live like that.

I never expected polygon to be offended at far cry 5 considering....

I also like how the far right seems to think they are being targeted even though the bad guys(totally not a parody of Scientology TM) are attacking Christians

The file is this one. It indicates that the people in the village were well educated and literate (the "youth's" diary is written in quite advanced English and he understands modern medicine concepts like inoculation) and they had modern dress – warpaint and spears were only used on 'festival days'. The virus turned the black men violent and primitive as they stripped off their clothes, picked up spears, dressed like their 'ancestors', and put on tribal warpaint. So, the effect of the virus is that they degenerate into a primitive state, manifested by looking like a native tribesman.

I get that they're going for the itchy-tasty thing. The part where it gets a bit uncomfortable is when it ties the effects of the virus that we know already (lowered cognitive abilities, aggression) to donning traditional African clothing. I don't think the devs intended anything by it, but it does come off as a little tone-deaf.

ah, yeah I remember now.
you're right, except for the fact, that those enemies were infected by the plagas and not by any virus.
That's why all the kids died. You could see it in the Re4 credits too. When the villagers got infected, their children died in the same way.

but I get it, they made them this way, only because probably wanted to have a different type of enemy. Never have I seen it as racist nor done in a malicuous kind of way.
