It's a bit of everything. On one hand you have the doomposters that really want FGO to die and are turbomad about the event overall, Kojiro getting buffed over other Assassins broke some minds. The same with Medb getting another outfit, that made the waifufags lose it.
The guy just got tired of doing it, its to be expected, a twitter account I follow stopped doing FGO news recently. We are coming up on 6 years for JP and some people are not turbo autists for Type Moon that can keep passion or interest that long. I certainly wouldn't want to add extra hours to the day on top of FGO to manage fan databases and accounts, especially if I'm not getting paid well for it, the guy who does the guides at kscopedia.net will just regularly give up finishing event guides he writes.
I imagine that they switched to videos/youtube, easier and faster to do it that way and more views. And gacha salt summoning on banners gets more views than page hits for events

Ah, something for the whole family. That said I can relate a little bit to all of it. FGO has been on the slow decline in profits for awhile now as their competition continues to rise by merit of being more fun to play and more forgiving with it's slot machine. Non Kojiro Assassins are also falling way behind too. I don't think Mata Hari's had a buff at all since her third skill.
Medb, though. I'm pretty happy about that one, as one of the tens of people who actually have a story lock 5 star.
Once the passion for it being Type Moon related dries up, it probably seems pretty exhausting to keep up with their databases. Arcade favoritism seems to have taken the wind out of a lot of people's sails. And, Hell, we're on week 3 of minor stuff and the only news being another crossover with itself. The game makes itself plenty hard to be excited for, no matter how big of a fan you are, so it stands to reason these guys would move to something more fulfilling.
Case Files collab is coming up, boys. Make sure to have your Mona/Bella Lisa CEs equipped and have completed all free quests in order to get that sweet SQ reward in the anniversary

Finally got on speed with the new JP event and by the gods the new caster is absolutely terrible on gameplay and only whales want her because she looks good, there is absolutely no way of salvage this and i dont caer what turbowhales think, for the F2P player she is worthless
tl;dr she is garbage and dont let reddit fool you
- Her NP is the first of its kind that REQUIRE 20 Critical stars for EVEN shot it, stars that she DOESNT generate because she is a Caster
- Suppose you get the 20 stars and shoot it, you are wasting 20 perfect critical stars for a 3 turn normal and np damage boost things that you can do without any hassle with CE or a Normal skill
- the best kicker of all of this, after shooting it, she kick herself of the current formation and go for the support slot, so is 90% sure you are not going to see her in that fight unless you are a moron
- now you say "well her toolkit can save her right?" lol no, first skill party wide invul that doesnt include her, NP recharge that cost HP to use it (2000 hp) and give her a big fat target on her ass, third skill? lame ass critical absorption that ALSO cost HP to shoot it

The thing that baffled me is that there were better ways to handle her, if you remove that dumb demerits of kicking her to the support slots she would be a run of the mill buffer like Tamamo, the problem is the atrocious demerits that all her toolkit has, you cant even use her skills without paying penalties and worst of it getting a taunt that would guarantee she is going to be hit by criticalsFuck that sucks because her second form is absolute kino

Expect her in the next 4 or 5 Strengthening Quests runs. If I had absolutely no hope in DW, I'd probably cook up an autistic conspiracy about purposely making her terrible so they can "fix" her skills and NP later for free brownie points and strengthening quest filler.
But that's ridiculous, and I have nothing but faith in DW, don't you? They're still defining their meta, please understand.
