Since the movie season is drawing to a close and the award season is just around the corner, what were some your favorite films of this year? Mine probably had to be Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049 with both making me genuinely excited to see the next works by Nolan and Villeneuve.

It doesn't get a lot of recognition and it's really underrated, but I recommend checking this one out.

It's a surprisingly poignant and charming movie that explores the creative process of imagination, growing up, and conquering ones inner demons with unexpected delicacy. A masterpiece in every sense of the word.

I didn’t get to see many films this year but I thoroughly enjoyed Wind River, Get Out, and Your Name. Really wish I could have seen Loving Vincent on the big screen.

Gaurdians of the Galaxy 2 I guess. Unless I'm forgetting another movie.

I'm still personally waiting to see movies like Disaster Artist, Phantom Thread and The Shape of Water before I offer a definite list, but my number #1 pick The Lost City of Z is still solidly in place.

It's pretty to look at, but everything else is incredibly dull and uninteresting.

Just saw Coco and now that's my new favorite for this year.

I could be a little biased though as my own grandfather passed away recently, so the movie's subject matter really resonated with me.

That and I LOVE skeletons, guitars, and the Day of the Dead.
