I'm a fan of a few podcasts, and I'm always up to discuss them and discover new shows. These are a few of my favorites, as well as a shameless plug.

AfterBuzz: they're an aftershow podcast for tv shows. Pick a show, and there's a strong chance there's an aftershow about it.

Now Playing: Movie review podcast with a large collection of reviews. Their way of reviewing (retrospective, starting from the first movie to a weekend of release review) as well as their scoring system (2-3 people with different opinions (a novice, a casual fan, and a die hard) each state whether or not they recommend the movie) are what I really like.

The Comedy button: weekly show that pokes fun at a lot of things.

We have concerns: news show that looks at absurdly stupid news stories, before roleplaying said stories.

You made it weird: oddly enough, this is the only podcast on here supported by the nerdist. It consists of comedian pete Holmes essentially interviewing other famous comedians.

There is no podcast I really keep up with, but I like F Plus (basically what we do here but more concerned with topics than specific people), Dan Carlin's Hardcore History and Monster Talk (cryptozoology from a skeptic's perspective). I also like the Pizza Party Podcast (comics, cartoons and Pan thirsting for goth girls) as background noise.

Chairborne Commandos: Vets discussing military news and reviewing beer.

The one I still listen to:

Sleepycast: The old crew from early 2000's Newgrounds made a podcast, and it's exactly what you'd expect it to be. Gross, autistic, and hilarious in a stream of consciousness format.

The ones I used to listen to:

The F Plus: Used to be the Kiwi Farms of podcasting for a while. Lately they seem to be pandering to more SJW types, so I stopped listening

Lou Reads The Internet: Similar to The F Plus but still listenable.

Sick and Wrong: Two guys find the most sickening news stories of the week and share them. Unfortunately, the funny host left, and the unfunny cohost now runs the show. He's a fervent anti-Trump person and it gets real annoying real fast.

From The Ville: Martin and Steele are two men in their mid-30's who ran a ridiculous stream of consciousness show. They brought their drunk retarded friend in once, Steele wore an assless kilt for a few episodes, and Martin tried to smother him with a blanket that he used to cum on as a teenager. Unfortunately defunct since someone got particularly offended and jeopardized Martin's livelihood.

Resurrecting this thread because I'm always up for podcast recommendations.

As for me, my favorite podcasts right now are

How Did This Get Made?: Three comedians (Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael and Jason Mantzoukas) along with a different guest each episode watch, deconstruct, and mock bad movies. It's absolutely hilarious.

My Favorite Murder: Two ladies recount and discuss true crime stories. Most of the episodes consist of informal discussions between the two hosts rather than a detailed recounting of facts.

Last Podcast on the Left: Three dudes discuss true crime, the paranormal, and everything in between. It's more fact-based than My Favorite Murder, but every episode still contains funny tangents and conversations.

The only one I regularly listen to is Super Best Friendcast, the guys who do the Two Best Friends/Super Best Friends Play YouTube channel.

I love Last Podcast on the Left! How Did This Get Made? was good, but they recently put their entire backlog behind a paywall. We Hate Movies is also pretty good, along with RT Podcasts and Dude Soup are also pretty good.

Personally I also enjoy Super Best Friends, Wait Wait Don't Tell me and This American Life

I also love LPOTL, the're hilarious!

I follow:

The Dollop - Two comedians discuss a story from American history. Their comedy is a little hit or miss sometimes, but the stories are usually interesting.
True Crime Garage - They're alright, they put some of their stuff behind a paywall, but they cover interesting cases that are free to listen to.
Thinking Sideways - Three people cover unsolved mysteries and try to come up with theories for them.
Limetown - Fictional, and seems stopped for now. :( It's about a town that "disappeared" overnight and a journalist has set out to see why.
Tanis - Fictional, a journalist is looking for something called Tanis. (I've theorized Tanis is like the philosopher's stone, my partner says I'm dumb)
Black Tapes - Fictional, from the same team who did Tanis. This one is about a paranormal mystery headed by a journalist and her friend Dr. Strand. It's a little hard to explain, but it's extremely entertaining.

As a side note, I tried Generation Y and they are the most horribly boring, clinical podcast I've ever listened to that covers true crime. Their voices honestly put me to sleep.

Going to raise this dead thread to see what other people are listening to here. My current podcast lineup is:

- The Last Podcast on the Left
- The Trail Went Cold
- Hardcore History
- Super Best Friendcast

I'm trying to find more mystery-oriented shows. Kind of like a podcast version of Unsolved Mysteries I guess because I want something that will talk about weird shit like ghosts and cryptids because I'm a bit of a sucker for those.

Thinking Sideways is a great mystery podcast. Most episodes cover unsolved murders, disappearances, and other mysteries. The general format is that the first half of the podcast lays out all the details, and then in the last half the hosts discuss all of the viable theories/explanations and pick the one they think is the most plausible. Unfortunately they decided to end the podcast a couple of months ago, but there are still over 260 episodes to listen to. Also, Strange Matters covers weird cryptid stuff while Unsolved Murders covers exactly what it says it does.

Oh, and on another note, all of you should do yourselves a favor and listen to My Dad Wrote a Porno. The title tells you all you need to know; a guy named Jamie's dad wrote an entire series of hilariously bad, self-published erotica books and shared them with his son. Jamie decided to make a podcast out of it with his friends and it's magnificent. They've covered 4 of the books so far, and episodes covering the 4th book are currently being released every Sunday.

You Must Remember This: A podcast about old Hollywood stories and old Hollywood actors and actresses. Karina did a whole section on the Charles Manson murders if anyone's interested in that, but I'm more interested in the actors and actresses stories. It's basically a story telling style podcast that tells you about the lives of these actresses from the beginning of Hollywood era.

We Hate Movies: Basically trashing bad movies. It's entertaining enough to listen to if you want some entertainment.

WTF With Marc Maron: Marc Maron is a stand up comedian and his podcasts are interviews with comedians and other famous people. He did a pretty famous one with Carlos Mencia where Marc questioned him about the joke thief accusations. Marc's interviews are interesting and really dive into the interviewees personalities. If you like interviews I recommend this one.

Someone else recommended How Did This Get Made? I agree with that one. The Liz and Dick episode is hilarious.

I'd only recommend this if you're into dark stories about Hollywood secrets but there's a newer podcast that just came out on Patreon. Although since you have to pay 5 dollars every month for this one I'd recommend it last. The whole podcast is only about Hollywood scandals (the sex abuse in Hollywood, Bryan Singer being a pedo, Dan Schneider being a creeper, fucked up Hollywood rumors, etc.) It's run by a person who's been putting out Hollywood secret stories for decades.

I just finished listening to Dr. Death - a really short Podcast series but pretty interesting on Christopher Duntsh.

My regulars are The Last Podcast on the Left, Casefile, Hardcore History, and a british true crime podcast called The True Crime Enthusiast.

I love The Last Podcast on the Left for the Heavy Hitters (and the jokes, I love them. Willy Pickton's was the fuckin' best), but I honestly put Casefile above all the rest. His EAR/ONS was fantastic and the Australian crimes he covers are fascinating. It's a mixture of crimes around the world, but I mostly love it for the Australian ones. Same with The True Crime Enthusiast. He covers little known murders in the United Kingdom and some of them are fucked up. Though I admit, I only listen to these during the day because I'm a puss.

Really wish I could find more good true crime podcasts, but a lot of them spend way too much time talking about themselves and tours and never get into the actual crime until 20 minutes in. Then they gloss over it or keep stopping the podcast to add in gasps and "poor sweet angel baby!" or promos. So, I'm pretty limited on what I listen to these days.

I also really loved The Worst Idea of All Time, just because you could feel the soul-sucking they experienced. Brilliant series.
