I don't care what you guys say Adam "Soychad" Raguesa is still a decent Youtube Cook. With that said I can promise you that no Steakhouse "seasons the cutting board, not the meat." If that video did any good it's only because it helped encourage novices to rest their steaks after cooking it.

Anyway Henry's Kitchen is a national treasure.

Yeah, I'm too much of a boomer to follow chef memes, but I don't mind Ragusea. I love that he focuses on the science behind what he's cooking, as I'd prefer to know why something works, rather than just getting a bunch of recipes. While I've seen him make a couple bad arguments (his arguments against keto, for example) and his mannerism can be offputting and robotic at times, I actually feel he's less of a soyboy hipster than Babish.

Is there some deep lore I should know about? Did Ragusea go on Twitter to defend cuckoldry or something?

Does anyone else have a love-hate relationship with Joshua Weissman? I’ve quite enjoyed the recipes of his that I’ve tried, and he’s genuinely good at explaining technique (even if he does go a tad overboard at times).

But whenever he says “cwispy” or “whisky business” in that tard baby voice, all I can think about is going Hulk mode on him.

Yeah he is pretty talented and I will bite the bullet to watch his stuff cause he knows what hes talking about. The baby talk isnt too bad but him referring to himself as papa is cringe inducing, along with the zoom in on his ass.

Not really for me since I'm more into plebeian cooking that doesn't even try to be fancy, but he and Chlebowski's "This is the best possible way to do it and if you don't like it this way..." sorta thing is just annoying.

Yeah I certainly don’t like the smug delivery from either of them, but Josh was way less obnoxious when he first got started with his channel. I cook fancy things partially out of necessity and his detailed instructions are really helpful when I’m trying to make stuff like croissants or babka (Rural living certainly has its perks, but a vibrant culinary scene ain’t one of them)

If Josh could just tone down the dumb baby talk schtick and gratuitous butt closeups, his shows would be so much more enjoyable.

Laura Vitale is a go-to. Her videos are to the point but not too basic so you feel a little fancy. The recipes are good too.

OrsaraRecipes is great because he's the cutest old man. He does a lot of easy Italian.

Cowboy Kent is a favorite too. How do you hate Cowboy Kent?

A few months ago, Facebook threw to my face the ad of a YouTube channel called "Showa Recipes Channel".

Basically, it's a Japanese man who lives in Paraguay (why the fuck he chose to stay in that fucking brown shithole, I don't know) and he cooks vintage recipes from the Showa era.

The videos are simple and entertaining, and he usually tells you what ingredients you can use to replace those that are more difficult to buy (especially if you live in a brown shithole, like Paraguay).
He speaks Japanese but the videos have English, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles.

Two channels I haven’t seen mentioned that I enjoy for Japanese recipes are Adam Liaw and Chef’s Labo.

Liaw does a bit more than Japanese if I recall but I’ve followed his karaage recipe and it was fantastic.

Chef’s Labo has pretty detailed videos on Japanese recipe staples (curry, gyudon, etc.) and includes the full recipe in the video descriptions rather than link to some ad-ridden, browser-raping website.

I was going to mention Laura in the Kitchen but you beat me to it. I love her videos, the live streams with Papa Sal, her father, are always entertaining and the italian food they cook on holidays looks really good. They’re long, but I think they’re worth watching. She has recipes on countless foods because of how long her channel’s been around and how much she uploads.

Cat’s Kitchen is more cinematic and the recipes are in chinese but the videos are really good.

Honeykki is a korean channel, sometimes has english subs, makes a variety of desserts and meals. I just like the cinematic ones especially.

Townsends, Kent Rollins, and Sam the Cooking Guy are my favorites. I watch the occasional Food Wishes and Babish video too, but avoid Joshua Weissman like the plagues after the one video of his I saw.

Let me guess, it was the one where he decides to spend anywhere close to a hundred on ingredients just to dunk on a McDonald's hash brown?
