At the suggestion of @entropyseekswork I got a bottle of Heartbreaking Dawn's Cauterizer last night. I put a bit on some pizza earlier and even two hours later I can still feel a bit of weirdness in my mouth. It's like Satan cumming in your mouth but still super tasty, and i HIGHLY recommend it. I'm not that into hot sauce and I fucking loved it.

All of the Heartbreaking Dawn's sauces are great. My favorite is the 1498 Trinidad scorpion pepper sauce. What I love about this line of sauces is that despite the fact they usually have at their core one of the currently fashionable monster peppers, they don't fall for the gimmick of just being super hot to the point of drowning out every other flavor.

They always have other flavors, too. These are nuanced sauces.

Don't take that the wrong way. The 1498 sauce (apparently that actually is now called Cauterizer) is quite hot. This is a sauce where they literally added scotch bonnets to mellow it down a little. The delicious secondary flavor is actually apricots. And undertones of blueberry. If you can taste any of this while your mouth is on fire, congratulations.

These are not hot sauces in the vein of Dave's Insanity. However, they're definitely quite hot, they pack a punch, and they're well designed.

Another phenomenally good one is the 1841 Ghost Pepper sauce. I can't say too many good things about this.

ETA: Also I wonder, am I a weirdo, or has anyone else here ever actually used pepper spray as a condiment?
