To be fair, that TLC show does sound horrific and misleading. Doesn't compare to the blarms, tho. The blarms cause people to attack each other with pepper sprays.

Upon further examination, it seems like Chris left that comment on the petition itself. He's apparently expecting everyone else signing it to care as much about the blue arms as he does.

That show looks absolutely ridiculous and TLC seems either to be trolling the majority or pitching straight for the Duggar-loving niche market. Maybe both?

I don't think Chris is really attacking the show from a "stick up for gay pride" angle, but more of a "protect the lesbians in case they get attacked" schtick.

That show does sound terrible, though.

To be 100% honest, I'm actually kind of glad Chris wants the operation and hasn't taken matters into his own hands beyond trying to pass off his bent duck as some bizzare strap on he always wears.

Seriously, this is the same individual who shoved god knows how many things up his ass, drank his own semen, had his taint pierced after it got infected to dangerous levels, and a bunch of other things too disgusting to mention. He's utterly unpredictable.

The same people do "reparative therapy" with lesbians, though. It's just easier for lesbians to fly under social radar as jolly aunties who have never met the right man (particularly in the LDS [Mormon] milieu where this show is set).

It is typical Chris to be lecturing a bunch of gay and lesbian people about how lesbians were mistreated "in the 1800s" without any awareness that that shit is still happening today. Not even getting into Chris's complete lack of understanding of the trans community and the political and social issues trans people face.
