Recording this here for posterity reasons. Since there's not much to be said about this, I'd encourage taking up discussion in the other thread located here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2898

It's worth pointing out that he's moved from a rather somber note with attempting to repair his image by 'forgiving' Megan, to trying to get some Pokemon trades. He's also exposing himself to other people online for the first time in awhile, albeit I don't know how much socialization that involves when you're talking about Pokemon.

Good on ya for blurring the code. Just because Chris recklessly doxes himself doesn't mean we should help him do it.

Or make it any easier for the hundreds of weens who are going to jump all over this.

I may not be one to judge but....what is up with the pokemon he wants? I would expect for him to want a legendary or at least something that doesn't require a lot of work to get. I understand Pachurichu and the zebra but you can easily find Stunfisk in the game

I didn't even know Chris had a sixth gen game. Won 't be surprised if he got both versions.

That's his Friend Safari. Ironic that the creator of Sonichu has an Electric-Type one, considering that it's randomly generated.

Bah, code's blurred!

Actually I was genuinely interested for a minute. Don't have a zebstrika... I don't think they're even obtainable under normal circumstances.

You know, it is kinda weird that he has an electric safari, isn't it? It's like his 3DS knew.

Plus, one thing you guys should know about the Friend Safari that is super useful is that each pokemon from the friend safari has at least two perfect IVs which makes breeding the perfect pokemon much, much easier with the appropriate tools than previously, especially considering that ditto is one of the pokemon you can get in the normal-type safari, so dittos with at least two perfect IVs are extremely valuable since they are pretty much your go-to stud pokemon so you can just use a bunch of dittos with different perfect IVs to breed the perfect pokemon you want.

No, it's the friend safari. Basically, you can go to your 3DS friends' friend safaris, which contains 3 Pokémon that are all one type. Chris is saying which Pokémon are in his - presumably he has an Electric safari. Just like Sonichu, amirite? :sonichu:

Maybe he wants to breed his perfect pokemon instead of breeding his perfect daughter.

It's a more realistic goal for today's Adult Autistic Child on the go.

this might just be speculation, but I think this might be his way of trying to socialize with people, at the very least how he views ideal socializing. get together with friends to play a Pokemon game in which they help him get pokemon and he might even try to strum up a conversation. I guess to him that's two birds with one stone, he can say he socialized and he got a bunch of Pokemon he wanted.

Someone in the other threat put it perfectly - Chris always, always makes an "apology" or "forgiveness" as nothing more than a down payment on "give me video game stuff!"

Something worth pointing out is that at the end of December, Nintendo will have a service called the Pokemon Bank which will have an app that will allow you to transfer your pokemon from Gen V to the new games. I don't think it's a big leap to assume that Chris has (or had) all the Gen V games (and Gen IV and III) and probably has all the pokemon from those games and could easily transfer over any that he's missing from X and Y.

So Chris is whoring for friends codes becase A) He's trying to be more sociable (and I don't think I need to explain why this is a stupid way to do it), or B) He's so fucking impatient he can't wait a month to transfer all his old pokey mans and needs to beg people to help him catch 'em all.

Or C) Both.

Why on earth would Chris not even try to make this post private? I am not even his friend and I can see his post on fb with the code... Again, good on you for blurring it. I had assumed Chris had learned not to put his private info up for the public...

Just going to post that I don't see the point of blurring the code. It isn't easy to message/talk to somebody over the 3DS, and adding him as a friend is mutually beneficial in Pokemon because of the friend Safari.

Either way, we already know his home address.

Yeah it's not as if anyone can troll Chris through it, there's no pickle Pokemon (as far as I know) and I doubt Nintendo allows messaging as someone somewhere may be slightly rude.

Agreed, I suppose you could argue from the angle of preventing Chris registering plenty of Friend Safaris and denying him Pokémon but that seems pretty silly. Otherwise it's entirely pointless to blur out his 3DS friend code.

Blurring out the friend code is for more than just protecting Chris from his own stupidity. It's about maintaining the purpose and policies of this forum. We don't troll Chris, and we don't dox him. Not even when it's stupid and pointless like this and Chris himself is the worst offender. We are supposed to be better than that. Blurring out Chris' friend code is a quick and easy way for a forum admin to make that point. People new to Chris checking out the forums for the first time might not understand what a pokemon friend code is; it's easier to just blur out the code than to explain to them why we haven't bothered.

Besides, why would anyone need to know the code itself anyways unless they are planning on using it to contact Chris? It's purposeless trivia for us to know it. What's more salient to this forum? Chris' pokemon code itself, or the fact that Chris still hasn't learned after all these years not to give out private information over the internets?

It's a public post, anyone who really wants to know for some reason can just go to FB and look.

You can't really message Chris with just his friend code. I get the principle of it but it is a bit pointless.
