I would be worried that Chris put a relatively useless product on ebay at a high price knowing no matter what offers he got he'd still be making a profit if Chris was actually smart.

Except Chris wasn't mourning the loss of his father; he was mourning the loss of his days of doing absolutely fuck all and keeping most of his tugboat. He probably remembered Bob was dead and that's why his life is "so hard now with all the responsibilities" and then realized he still has Bob shit he can sell.
