I honestly thought Sega quietly forgot about sonic after those two boom games came out and got a bunch of shit reviews. Is there actually more sonic stuff coming?

I remember hearing about that one, but I thought it was unofficially cancelled because they were being really dodgy about the release date for a while.

I thought someone would talk about the video that Chris linked in the post - but I guess it's not surprising that Chris likes videos that awkwardly combine characters from different franchises.
But he also talks about how "the duo survived", he probably thinks it's canon which proves that Chris has a hard time distinguishing between what is canon and what is just fandom. This is reinforced by the fact that Asperchu is technically canon in Sonichu.

Oh, how the the mighty have fallen

and fallen they have indeed. It seems all the real talent has left. Currently, Rainmaker is mainly making Barbie CGI Cartoon movies.

Although they are apparently planning a sequel series to Reboot. So ....we'll see how that goes
