Weren't the Sonichu amiibos unsuccessful though?? Does he think people that didn't go for the Sonichu ones will go for the Blake ones-- that they were just waiting for those?

For some reason, staring at that horribly made golem of Crayola Model Magic and plastic really solidified the fact that he put a pikachu tail on Shadow the Hedgehog in order to copyright it. I know that's the case for all of his characters and their respective origins, but the Amiibo really sold the lack of creativity to me.
If he were to list a Magi Chan amiibo, I might actually think about it for 20 minutes before coming to my senses.
I do think they were almost a break even point if memory serves me right.
At least Chris is trying and I commend him on that. But yea I'm guessing these are the left over Sonichu's.

For the new eBay entry, he edited the Sonichu Amiibo product description to say things like "Blake is posed in a fighter-style, right arm flexed, and looking down his left arm at his opponent threateningly." At the same time, though, he forgot to delete: "I highly recommend going with the Yellow-Shoe alt-colour in-game choice when setting up your figure, to best represent Sonichu in the game(s)." And he STILL refers to himself as "Christian Weston Chandler."
Does the blake amiibo cannibalize "rare" amiibos as like chris heavily implied when he first made the chaotic combo amiibos? I'm not gonna waste my cash to confirm this, but it'd be funny if it was actually the case. I mean I know punchy and angelica very clearly butcher Little Mac and Pit amiibos, but the others are more or less sort of vaugely "jam sonic and pikachu amiibo abomination onto a stand"
Nah, I think I'll save my money on a Barb Amiibo figure.

Sounds expensive if that's the case.
If he's doing it so he can have them for personal use that's fine- I can see him doing that so he can play more games with his own creations a-la modracers.
If he's doing that to try and make a profit? Well, it's a typical show of Chandler fiscal ability.
He does them because he actually likes doing them. As for how are these going to sell compared to Sonichu, only buyers will tell.
I'm thinking Chris had some spare Sonics he was planning to mod to Sonichus, but since the last pack didn't sold so well, he decided to go for Blake instead and see what happens.
