What's today, the 7th? Sounds like the Tugboat has arrived and the Harbor Master has taken her cut, leaving him with less than a grand number of Lego money but enough for postage.
I am skeptical myself. "His" money may be just Barb's social security checks. Are the Chandlers even kind of middle class anymore, or are they true and honest poor white trash?

I kind of doubt they've been "middle class" by any standard since Bob retired, unless he got really good social security or had a good 401k from his job (which he might, if he actually made as many patents as they claim). Then again, maybe 14 BLC didn't use to look so terrible... I guess it is kind of suburbia where they live.
But yes, unless Barb got hella life insurance money after Bob passed away, they are officially white trash.
They could be sitting on five million dollars (hypothetically speaking here) but they've delegated their lives to living like scumlords so they won't be viewed as anything else. Frankly, I've never considered them middle class in the least bit, not when their house(s) looks like a Holocaust Snowglobe.

Btw, I don't think white trash has that much to do with being poor ( though its often the case.) I think its more of a lifestyle or ignorant outlook, that has nothing to do with poverty which both chandlers have. Noone is trash unless they behave as such
