I wonder if the complete and utter lack of interest in the amibos is going to put Chris off when it comes to his grand plan to do a whole bunch of "limited edition" characters. Surely the effort that goes into making the medallions and photos on top of the ambios is enough to put him off although we do know Chris does take a while to learn when something isn't working.

He's always been much better sticking to just the medallions and signed photographs but I guess that feels more like work to him than the amibos do. Fortunately it must be getting pretty obvious that the market for amibos is almost completely diminished.

It might work if he made one or two of the side-character amiibos, but scarcity seems not to have worked so far. Next time, he can make Rosechu and Bubbles amiibos and guilt people into buying them by insisting that the Sonichu and Blake amiibos are lonely.

When Chris is sinking a few hundred bucks a month into something, it's a lot more obvious to him that things aren't working. Chris'll probably have maybe one more failed line of amiibos before unhappily giving up.

My concern though is that Chris has already stated on his FB account that he makes everything ahead of time. We also have proof of that when he showed off those 30 medallions he created before even selling a single one. To that end, I seriously wonder just how many amiibos he's already bought to carve up and glue back together in hopes of making... well, more debt for himself.

Also curious to see how much of a chimpout he's going to have if he hasn't sold out of his entire stock of Blakes. He's been in a reasonably more positive mood the last couple of posts, but as others have mentioned, Chris has a way of utterly decimating any good vibes when its time to feed his ego.

He doesn't have a creative bone in his body, so he needs to make his toys out of Sonic and Pikachu. Amiibos are the most readily available figurines out there that come 80% premade, reducing labor, and only require paint and some superglue.

I've generally assumed that he's been buying the amiibos per batch, but I don't actually think there's much public information either way. Amiibo parts are more expensive than medallion ingredients, so he can probably doesn't go out of his way to stock up too much ahead of time. Maybe if he sees a good deal or something.
