He made almost a full month's check off commissions when they came out.So, if I understand correctly, Chris is weeks--perhaps days--from homelessness and this lost cause is the sort of activity he's spending time on?
I remember seeing estimates of $2000 and then with the eBay fees it comes out to about $1800. I'm not sure about currently, but I'm sure he hasn't had all too many sales after these estimates.Any idea how much money Chris had made on his ebay adventures overall?
Smart of Chris to try lowering prices at least. Might get him some more sales after the initial novelty is warn off, although he should really lower them even more and make it permanent.
But based on everyone's comments (like the one above my previous post), it seems like his market has dried up. I am aware he had considerable success initially; but considering that Chris apparently spent a good portion of those proceeds on non-essentials, I'm not sure how that money could really play into this.He made almost a full month's check off commissions when they came out.
Chris doesn't understand supply and demand, but he does understand that he made sales. This is the first money he's made on his own in over a decade since he last worked at a Wendy's, which he was fired from. I personally cannot imagine any position or job that he would be able to fulfill other than this. The ability to exploit his Internet fame has always existed, but he's not been able to figure it out. This is a fluke. But based on everyone's comments (like the one above my previous post), it seems like his market has dried up. Most of those sales were to forum members, and it was sort of a novelty event that (presumably) younger Christorians with limited responsibilities and expendable cash jumped on. There are a lot of other ways that people with expendable cash can amuse themselves that don't involve drawings of Mary Sue fan art. I think most people who would be interested in Chris' drawings have moved on, or never wanted one in the first place.
What a coincidence, I'm on a train to Oregon right now. Though I'm gonna be spending my money on weed and weeb crap.Hmm...do I want to spend my birthday money on an original CWC drawing or do I want to gorge myself on Guinness and ice cream and enjoy my time in Oregon...decisions decisions.
