You're missing the main key here. 2016. How did BPS have such high quality in 2016? I haven't heard of Mouthy Buddha so I watched his stuff, if you go to his early videos (2016-early 2017)the editing is noticeable lower quality. That makes sense, nobody can start a youtube channel on their best note if they haven't done it before. But if you watch those old BPS videos theres specific animations for his words, high quality animations for every statistic he brings up and quality that exceeds both modern BPS and modern Mouthy Buddha. Mouthy Buddha uses lots of real life footage, but BPS uses footage he records from all over the world(Myanmar, UK, Canada, Japan, Thailand, etc). How does BPS afford to produce videos and travel around the world at the same time? I doubt he's bringing a laptop to edit videos around with him.

But those libraries cost a lot of money, BPS in the last year or two continually mislinked an Indian asset maker as one of the places he gets some of his assets (not clear which ones), the price is 600$. With that variety and quality of all of his stuff, I highly doubt it's just that one alone.
And that doesn't change that in his 2016 video he has many different animations specific for a lot his words, that's really high quality stuff.

Did he say he recorded this footage himself? I am asking because have never listened to interviews with this guy, only seen his videos. If he's done an interview where he talks about his process I would be interested in hearing that.

If he's working in the mainstream media (like, if he's part of a team that has to travel around the world for on the ground reporting) and moonlighting on the job then absolutely he has a high powered laptop that he takes with him everywhere.

My guess would be that he is either a disgruntled mainstream media journalist who maintains his mainstream media contacts that he can outsource work to, possibly other disgruntled media people who agree with him and want to help him get his message out for a discount. The other possibility is that these are professional media people he pays to do work for him, but who don't want to be openly named as associates of his because they fear retaliation for being associated with an alt-right Youtube channel.

A lot of the effects he uses in his videos seem to be pre-made effects anyway - you could probably buy them as some sort of production pack for Sony Vegas or whatever he uses.

I always got the vibe he was just using preset stuff and scripts. It looks flashy on the surface, but its not expensive to pull off (few thousand dollars at most).

With a lot of these video makers they often made videos in other channel topics before striking gold. See Lacey Green, she was originally an atheist vlogger before doing videos on feminism.

With BPS I think it's probably more the result of professional experience in video editing. I would suspect it's why he has left his country of origin since he wouldn't need to work in an office editing videos and probably made BPS in his spare time while working a day job.

Liberal Sanity Project, (the guy who helped Kraut with the Paranoia Pornographer series) pointed out to me that there seems to be a CNN iReport account which may or may not be Felix(?). He doesn't know about more ties between him and MSM people though.

CNN iReport was basically a CNN-branded Wikinews knock-off which I didn't know existed.
