...These guys...
This is why I pirate everything, or in this game's case I bought it from a key site. That shit passes them off more than the torrents.More GG-Strive- Stupidity:
Taiwan get's Thanos'd from the story mode because talking about Chinese annexation is a big no-no

As you can guess, people are pissed about it... so much so that anons on image boards are asking for people to contact Arcsys to tell them to stop this shit.

Aksys does the localization for Arcsys though, and localizing teams are known for their gatekeeping bullshit. I'm sure they have a hand in that whole mess with Guilty Gear -Strive-Aksys Games is an entirely different company from ArcSys lol

A lot of culture war bullshit is the result of "incompetent translation monkeys." Just look at Funimation. Or even worse, 4Kids.While that is true, as far as I know Aksys are just a bunch of incompetent translation monkeys so I doubt they have as much sway. It's also worth noting that even as far back as the GG pachinko that came before Xrd the designs were already being toned down so it seems like the changes were already considered as back as 2012-2013.
Damn, I seriously wish this gets made. I've been waiting for this for over a decade now.Article: https://fightersgeneration.com/news1/tekken-june21-4.htm

In the latest episode of Harada's Bar, TEKKEN series producer Katsuhiro Harada was asked about the development of the mysterious "shelved" project that was originally announced back in 2010, TEKKEN Vs. Street Fighter. Harada stated that the project "died" at about 30% complete, but the meaning of his statement was incorrectly translated and quickly misinterpreted. After multiple gaming news outlets jumped the gun today, claiming the cancellation of TEKKEN Vs. Street Fighter had been confirmed — solely based on the word "died" being used... Harada later cleared up the context and mistranslation on Twitlonger, confirming the state of the project has not changed and is still "shelved" or "on hold".

Today, Harada went on to say, "We are still hopeful that TEKKEN Vs. Street Fighter will resume development when the opportunity arises. However, such a title cannot be moved just for the convenience of one company in terms of marketing and branding, and it also affects each other's development resources. For now, we are just waiting for the right opportunity."

Akuma generated a ton of hype when he arrived in TEKKEN 7 in 2017, but many fans are still hopeful to see a full spin-off fighting game. With TEKKEN 7 breaking records in eSports and now selling over 7 million copies worldwide since launch (becoming one of the most successful installments of the series to date), the Street Fighter crossover, along with additional guest characters via DLC, has proven to be a smart decision and direction for the series.

On Twitter last month, TFG held a poll on what "the next TEKKEN game" should be. It's pretty obvious that many in the FGC still want to see TEKKEN Vs. Street Fighter come to fruition.

TL;DR: Translation Error # 72386458279356482648678 but Tekken x Street Fighter could still be a thing
Please, god no.Ready for Guilty Gear to get more fucked? If having control of EVO wasn't enough, SONY want full control of Guilty Gear to make it their in-house fighter.

Sony Looking To Acquire Arc System Works, Guilty Gear’s Studio – Insider
According to an insider, Sony would be willing to acquire Arc System Works, the studio behind the historic fighting saga of Guilty Gear, the franchise that made its debut on PlayStation back in 1998.
For now, it is only a rumor, but it is worth taking note since the source has proved reliable in the recent past: we are talking about the leaker “Dealer“, who correctly anticipated the arrival of the standalone expansion of Ghost of Tsushima called Ghost of Ikishima.

In any case, according to the insider, the negotiation between the two parties would now be in the final stages, and would therefore seem destined to go through, even if it would not have been finalized yet.
Guilty Gear -Strive-, the most recent iteration of the saga, arrived on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam very recently, just this June 11, 2021, after a troubled development due to the pandemic and multiple postponements: initially the launch date was in fact expected by the end of 2020.
On the Sony and PlayStation 5 front, there is great anticipation for an upcoming State of Play scheduled for July 8 next month, but about which only rumors are circulating for the moment. We will have to wait and see whether this information gets official. Stay tuned for more updates.
