Does anyone here have access to the latest fightcade update? I've heard that it's a big improvement.
So the new fightcade client released recently and the emulation is a ton better than the original.
I'm waiting till it's out of beta. Since I'm a Linux user, the latest win32 build they had up for a while wasn't working on my WINE. They recently revamped the site and put up a warning on FightCade 1 about migrating cause they will be shutting down the servers soon. The new site has the linux version but it's behind a paywall on patreon for beta testers.
EDIT: Login screen of FightCade 1 now has an "update" button, so I was able to update it for linux after some stupid permission tinkering with "chrome-sandbox"

The FGC community thread is dead so I don't think anyone from here is playing it. The interesting thing is that it hit an all time peak of 30K on Steam which surpasses Tekken's 18K peak. I really don't have any interest in it. I'm tired of fighting games being dumbed down for retards. I already play one game made by insanely retarded devs, I cannot dedicate even more autism hours for another one.
So it's safe to say that fighting games just aren't popular on PC for some reason. Is there something about consoles, other than that tournaments are played on consoles, that draws players to playing fighting games there?
And the 30k peak is giving me flashbacks to Artifact's (Valve's DOTA 2 Card Game that completely failed) release, which had a 60k peak, but died out very quickly.
Bigger player base on consoles compared to PC, but those numbers are still good even though they probably happened because of older games getting rollback patches
