The city of Hameenlinna launched an urban design competition that uses Cities: Skylines as its base to allow anyone to come up with a plan for overhauling its inner city.

Contestants are asked to download a premade map of the city's terrain and build a new design for the inner city, accounting for transportation, service and trade issues. The city government will select 12 finalists, based on the novelty and feasibility of the city.

It's pretty neat.
