Reading this letter makes this quote not age that well, in my opinion.

You vastly overestimate the power and competence of AI and vastly underestimate the human desire for novelty and beauty.
If human desire for novelty and beauty is a thing why the fuck is Marvel comics still in business and why are there tv-shows like My 600lbs life?

What I did want to say is that you might overestimate the human desire for novelty and beauty. But that's just my opinion.
IMHO, humanity as a whole is just sentient cattle they want to be fed and most of them do not care for novelty and beauty, they want their daily dose of shlock, processed food and a beer and that's it.
Look at what inbetweeners do and tell me that's any different from what deep fakes already do. You only need competent humans to write the stories, direct, and create the key frames, most of the process is already left to the barely competent.

I wasn't talking about Disney as a whole, I know that most of their stuff isn't bad, except the latest Mulan movie which was utter shit, I was talking solely about Marvel comics.
Marvel comics (add DC into the mix if you want to) have seen a steady decline in story quality and also their drawn art over the last years. I you like Marvel comics, good for you, why not, but I really do think they are on their way out if they don't get better (same goes for DC).
Hulk and Thor were both absolutely assraped by terrible writing and they're some of the most recognizable Marvel heroes. Marvel in general has been terrible for awhile and it's reflected in the sales.
