If you're following people you can go to your news feed and see their recent activities on Kiwi Farms.... so basically the exact same way it works in every single other website that allows you to follow other users?

Personally, I also use it as a "poor man's verified" checkmark, for users that are relevant to a thread but the mods are slow to verify them. Others use it as a "I really like you" indicator, which is why it's not uncommon for people to follow back those that follow them.
