Our primary font is Open Sans, a popular Google sans-serif font. This is applied to anywhere on the website that is not a title.

Our secondary font is Lato, a Google serif font. It is used on widget titles and some other places.

Our tertiary font is Palatino, Quattrocento, a Google serif font. It's used exclusively in forum messages and comments (like profile posts, media, forum groups).

Are there any complaints?

I do care about the fonts, but I know how much work has gone into the site already and really do not want to catch wrath for this. Having a feature that lets you choose the font like @Valiant suggested would be best, but @Null you have done so much that I really want you to just relax and let this settle for a bit.

I like the san-serif out of personal preference, but there are bigger worries in my life so...

I'm more pissed about the change making all my watched threads appear unread so I didn't get any notifications from them until I marked everything as read!

I have my browser make all text Andale Mono, so I didn't notice.

But really, complaining about the font of all things? Unless it's hard to read or it's Comic Sans, it's possibly being really picky at this point.

Would it be okay to have open dyslexic font, it's much easier to read for dyslexic people like myself.

I hope that doesn't sound selfish, I just thought it might help.
Dyslexic fonts usually employee very cartoonish looks like Comic Sans, because (AFAIK) Dyslexics have a hard time distinguishing characters from one another. OpenDyslexic itself is much harder to read for people without dyslexia and is a lot like Comic Sans. There are extensions that can make OpenDyslexic available on every website you use.

Most browsers don't even require an extension. Just go into settings, usually under advanced options for fonts / appearance, select OpenDyslexic as your default font, and de-select the check box that allows websites to use their own fonts.

Probably should tag this to @silentprincess

Fonts really shouldn't be a big deal since most browsers have allowed users to set their own font preferences since back in the Netscape days.

I don't really care about the fonts and I don't understand why people are complaining about them.
I can think of two reasons:
Some people have a problem which makes them hard to read in general and need more friendly fonts.
Some people have a problem which makes them hard not to be picky dicks and want everything their way "now now now NOOOW".

Seriously, unless this forum, for some reason, have an abundance of graphic designers, I can't really understand that fonts are that big of a problem... Maybe it's just me though.

Well here's one for the count.

The thing about choosing fonts is that in the end, after a change is made it takes a few days for everyone to adapt and finally hurdle over the 'muh font'.
Serif fonts are good for print, Sans-Serif is more suitable for web: there's really a lot of pros and cons about choosing one or the other, but its agreed by most web devs that sans and serif fonts complement each other if used correctly.

But for legibility its not a matter of serif/sans-serif, but the spacing of individual letters and lines. IMHO people should be more worried about the width of the paragraphs, margins and font size.

Now that's a legitimate complaint I can get behind.

If the font reduces readability due to a lack of proper spacing and if it clashes with the default formatting then I completely understand. However just a minor aesthetic difference is something I really can't understand why it's worth complaining about.

Please change the default font to MS Comic Sans, I want to watch all the spergs on this website get riled the fuck up and explode in a frothing rage.

Comic Sans isn't a bad font, its just being abused by stupid people. It was based on comics like Batman and The Watchmen - It's the great white shark of the font world.
