When I wanna cook a hotdog, I wrap it in bacon and roll it in a pan of butter, with seasoning salt and chili powder, sitting inside of a buttered hotdog bun crispy on the outside. Then you add spicy bean chili and sauteed onions.
Beef and cheese pastelillos (Puerto Rican empanadas). Not only are they deep fried and filled with heart clogging animal products, there's some weird fucking tropical spice in them that makes my lips tingle and swell. I think it's annatto. I still eat two for lunch every payday.
The savory peanut flavored salt leftover at the bottom of a large container of roasted salted peanuts.
It doesn't feel good after, but while I'm eating it it's so delicious. I can't stop myself from saving it and eating like ½ teaspoon a day when I have some in the house. Definitely not good to be eating little spoonfuls of salt though.
I've got severe GERD/Acid Reflux (80mg of nexium daily) and love spicy food.
So, everything. Curry, chilli, spaghetti, steak cooked with jalapenos, orange juice, apple juice, anything with garlic or onions.
Burgers! Medium rare preferably, I like to put mine on brioche buns with pickles n' garbage american cheese and whatever topping sounds good at the moment. I've been using this Hawaiian style BBQ sauce lately that's very good on burgers. Gimme a side of tater tots and that's a good meal right there.
Also BBQ. Tri-tip sammiches, pulled pork, ribs, it's all so good. I don't indulge too often, usually just as a special treat. For a while pulled pork or burgers were my go-to meal after a half-marathon.
Just finished my weekly cheat meal. Large 16 inch pepperoni pizza with a 2 liter of Pepsi Zero. I've lost 35 lbs in the last 4 months and it would be closer to 45 lost if I wasn't eating it once a week but I need something to look forward to food wise.
