Kailyn doesn't get this type of ''tunneling'' with her boils. She let her hygiene go during her pregnancy and never got it back. The boils and bad acne sprung up at that time.

Kai has seen a dermatologist who said she has the early signs (and that was last year). Sorry that you dont get to see more of her gross boils so you can armchair diagnosis her yourself, I guess?

I've thought for awhile now that Kai has hidradenitis suppurativa, which is a chronic bacterial infection of the sweat glands, leading to excruciatingly painful boils. Eventually, the boils become connected by deep, subcutaneous tracts or tunnels, which fill with foul-smelling pus. Once it's reached the tunneling stage, it's very difficult to heal the skin, and it may give the appearance of a waxing and waning condition, as the boils drain and refill.

Kailyn is like the textbook patient for hidradenitis suppurativa. Most commonly, patients are female, in their late teens to 30s, overweight or obese, and have other metabolic symptoms. It also appears to be more common in people who use nicotine.

I've thought that too and brought that up earlier in the thread. Great minds think alike.

I know someone who took it on vacation as a malaria preventative. They got pretty fucked up sunburn wise because they didn't reapply sunscreen enough times a day.

Both NYX and ColourPop sell bright colored eyeliners for much cheaper than the two palettes she ordered.
I can't get over her spending that damn much for two niche, trendy palettes of colors.
Those colors aren't something most people wear every day, they're either just a little pop of color for fun, or you're a REAL makeup artist who does a lot of editorial/experimental looks.
Kailyn will use those palettes a couple more times, then they will be tossed into the rotting hoard of makeup and forgotten. $80 could've gone a long way towards buying Gracie some nice birthday gifts, or cute outfits and swimsuits for her.

Oh that's right. Gracie has a birthday coming up and as usual, Kailyn indulges herself and doesn't bother buying her daughter gifts or planning her daughter's birthday party. Nah, that's Kai's mom and dad's job. Or as Kailyn likes to say, "we". That makeup job makes her look even more special needs than usual. She has to be the only person who, as the years go on, her makeup application gets worse rather than getting better.

I can't see PJ letting Kailyn have access to any bank accounts he might have, even if she didn't have a spending problem. I can also see him setting up a budget for her, and getting abusive if she doesn't follow it.

Unfortunately yes. Like I said, I didn't see the sinus tracts. What it looked like to me was boils aggravated by chub rub, maybe even some ingrown hairs. The armpit and thighs (especially) are areas were a lot of friction takes place especially in a heavy person. She also apparently dry shaves too. There is too much going on to really know for sure. I've seen HS videos on youtube, one woman had an early grade of it and showed how she self manages it with topicals and shower and body care routine. It honestly looked nothing like what Kailyn has.

Fwiw, stage 1 HA has no sinus tracts. Stage II involves bumps and very little tunneling, stage III is where the tracts come into play.

Fat women who have a lot of problems with chafing are the most commonly affected by HS, and the areas you cited (thighs and underarms) are the most frequently affected sites.

Wow just . That guy is something else. Enabled dependence on her parents and he thinks he's going to get her to actually do something? Short answer, no. It doesn't always progress. It is considered progressive but in some people it does not. Maybe it hasn't gotten as bad because previously, Kai was on acne meds, bc and that was keeping it from getting worse.
