Hey, I've been thinking about setting up a forum text RP. It's been a long-time hobby of mine and is a great way to have fun. I'd like to hear if this interests anyone or not before I elaborate on what I'd like to do. The setting would be high fantasy, races from D&D with a simple class system in order to make it so everyone can't do everything with one character. There would be a inventory system in order to avoid hammer space, a central plot that brings the party together, ect. Characters are free to do what they will like within the controlled environment. If you're interested leave some ideas or just say hey.

Oh and if this isn't allowed for some reason then just take it down. Or call me a sperg :arrow: Whatevs

I used to participate heavily in forum roleplays. Though I kind of stopped doing them, mostly because they usually didn't have much structure or rules.

Cooperative storytelling doesn't usually work without strict rules. D&D is a great example of doing it well as you have rules behind doing anything and it separates what the player can and cannot do with other players really effectively.

There will be rules and a structured narrative. I will be the acting DM or what passes for one in this case, and also be role-playing a character as well. Things usually go smoothly when at least one person is setting up the scenarios/encounters.

Question!! ....Does this affect the NWO vs Hulkamaina/Babbyfaces at the Fanfic??. If not? I give no shits one way or the other...

Well it's a work in progress but the main plotline will involve a necromancer who is working toward the absolute control over mortality. The quest will for the main party will begin as a prison break from said necromancer's prison. The story itself, as I've said, still a work in progress.

Here are the playable races;

Humans
Elves (Wood, dark, and high varieties)
Dwarves
Goblins
Halflings
Sentient golems (Living artificial beings of ancient origin who have had life and memory breathed into them)

There will also be classes but no actual skill system. I will give a description of what each class is capable of and the player will be at their discretion to work within what has been outlined to their creative limit. As long as people use their better judgement, it should work perfectly fine and be simpler than an actual system.

Also, you can be an Orc as they will be a subspecies of Goblin. There will be two clans of goblins, the dumb orcs and the shamanistic purebrood

Purebroods are clever and short of stature, yet simple by other racial standards. They live in clan based tribes in swamps whereas orcs live in mountainous regions. These goblins are greedy and almost magpies in their nature to take from those around them.

As the purebroods lack forges their tribes are forced to use weapons made from obsidian, wood, animal materials such as fangs, bones, claws, ect. The weapon they hold the most affinity with are blowpipes and poison darts.

The Purebrood unique class is the Shaman. Unique to the fens and swamps of the Purebrood territories, the shamans act as tribal leaders for their individual clans. From summoning swarms of deadly insects to swallowing the enemies in a tide of flesh eating muck, the shamanists evoke the powers of their unforgiving homelands to win.

The golems are an artifice race shaped by ancient elves, given life as the elves descended into madness. Each golem has a frame made of mud from the banks of a sacred river, and plates of ivory affixed to serve as a permanent innate armor. The golems have no mouths, instead speaking with a form of telepathy. They are slow and immune to many forms slashing damage and all forms of poisonous damage. A major weakness is a lack of ability to cast magic, instead relying on pure unrelenting brute strength.
