In my Christopher Cantwell thread it was brought up that he was actually featured on The Colbert Report with a group of people called "Free Keene". That I looked into a bit deeper, and decided that some of them were lolcows too.

Garret Ean was that one with the fro in the Colbert video that called himself an Anarchist. These are definitely the same group from that bit. Cantwell doesn't seem to be a part of this any longer, likely due to his amazing ability to burn every single bridge he's had.

I think @VGB-OPSEC mentioned this ftl_ian guy previously, alleging he was a pedo? Now, I don't believe a word that comes from Luke McKee's mouth without many, many grains of salt; but Ian's friend group certainly turned out to warrant a thread thanks to their activities.

Edit: @Reddit Avenger seems to have provided evidence that Ian Freeman has indeed been raided for kiddy porn.

Free Keane (and by extension "The Shire") has been a personal cow of mine for a while. I talked a bit about them in the old "Copblock" thread so I'll copy n' paste a bit from that and write a small summarized version for those curious about these guys since they're amazing.

"Free Keane" is a bizarre movement/blog by infamous nutcase Ian Freeman (not his original name naturally) to basically ship in as many hardcore libertarians, anarchists, and sovereign citizens to the poor town of Keane, New Hampshire in an attempt to bring about a new libertarian pseudo-state known as The Shire.

Except y'know, couldn't afford the whole isolated underwater city part, so they simply decided to just kinda drag a whole town full of unwilling people into their bizarre movement because freedom and liberty and sttuff.

Keane seems a little big for that. Like it has 20k citizens, so you would have to bring in a lot of people for it to work. At least when those crazy Nazis tried to take over Leith, Leith only had a little more than a dozen people living there.

I think the main reason is that Keane is one of the few cities willing to to tolerate them.

That's the problem with sovcits as lolcows. They either do something extremely lulzy (#Daddytookanoath comes to mind), but get canned since what they do is obviously illegal and they have a penchant for actively antagonizing cops.

Or you have the more "moderate" sosvcits who don't do anything serious enough to get canned for any substantial amount of time, but it means their antics aren't nearly as funny.

Truly life's greatest tragedy.

I provided a small writeup when it happened in the previously mentioned copblock thread but I'll post it again.

Shit went down when someone found a clip from an old episode of the podcast he runs called "Free Talk Live" where he actively states that he supports the abolition of age of consent. Y'know legalizing child rape.

Unsurprisingly being the charming individual he is, in the clip he makes a fantastic argument and doesn't in any way make his poor co-host uncomfortable and piss off loads of callers. Seriously...it's genuinely disgusting to listen to.

Within the two years after it was brought to peoples attention, we can only assume the police began investigating as Ian seemingly caught on to this fact and made a post on the official Free Keene blog sperging about how he's being slandered by "haters".

Also someone started posting flyers around Keene warning everyone about his gross pedo tendencies which is funny.

Eventually he was in fact raided by the cops, where they seized his PC and other pieces of equipment which he later on went on to claim was "theft" (despite having a warrant and everything but sovcits gonna sovcit so whatever).

The most most noticeable piece of fallout from this was him being effectively disowned from the "The Free State Project" (a movement similar to The Shire but way less spergy and interesting) which lead to a supporter writing a pretty lulzy official blog post about him being persecuted.

I'll admit I haven't followed them as much as of late since they've slowed down a little ever since the raid, but if i learn of anything I'll add to this.

I honestly used to support the Free State Project until I researched further and learned about their antics and how they've managed to turn 80% of New Hampshire against them. The entire free state project Ian Freeman used to be a part of may not be quite as lulzy, and not quite everyone in it is bad, but there are some legit whacky people in the movement who are absolutely obsessed with forcing their libertarian and often anarcho-capitalist views down New Hampshires throat, and boy do they do a good job of dressing all of this up on their website.

Basically the gist of the movement is that they are trying to take over New Hampshire and make the entire state independant of the USA, but unlike a certain homeless lolcow, they have actually managed to at least get into elected positions and get laws passed. How are they going to do it? By making on online pledge list that states that if you sign at and it finally reaches 20000, you must move to new hampshire in 5 years! If your thinking that this plan is stupid, and that it would never work, you'd be half right. For years, this list has been pretty stagnant, and slowly gaining traction... but it seems as of recently, something was giving it a boost. As of February of this year the list finally reached it's goal, and I have no proof of the thing being rigged, but the progression of the list feels rather unnatural.

While waiting for the big move, many libertarians have moved to New Hampshire, and made sure to piss off as many locals as possible by making loud noise at the wrong hours, smoking weed in public, singing in grocery stores, passing pro-gun pamplets to elementary kids, generally making a big fuss over small inconvenient laws, and in places like Grafton, dragging on town hall meetings for hours and trying to pass rediculous shit such as turning the town into a "UN free zone".

There is unfortunately a lot of undocumented shit on these guys, and a lot of videos of their cringe are buried on youtube because they are mostly known locally. They have a forum that is sortof dead thanks to web 2.0. but if you search for a bit you'll probably run into some cringy posts, some even endorsing pedophilia like Ian does. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they simply shunned Ian out of the movement to remove the heat.

Picked random month.... got an article that the Free Keene crowd intended to give a speech on campus of a state university while armed, to protest laws banning loaded firearms on said campus. They apparently were shocked to receive a restraining order banning them from setting foot on any state school campus, and the courts, unsurprisingly, found in the favor of the school.

They'll have to give up using federal currency then, because every US dollar has printed on it that it is property of the department of the US treasury, and of course is minted by the treasury.

So in actuality every physical dollar bill or coin is the property of the government, and is simply leant to individuals who choose to use their currency, therefore libertarians of course cannot claim that the money is their property, since it isn't; in the American revolution of course, the property being accused of unfair taxation was not fiat currency manufactured by a government, but actual hard goods.

If they want independence then they'll have to give up using US dollars and create their own currency; national US currency is a fairly recent invention anyway
