Boy what the hell did they do? Elsa must now take on the Norwegian equivalent of the Trials of Hercules or something. I think that water horse is supposed to be a kelpie so maybe they're not specifically sticking to the lore in and around Norway.

The water effects look amazing and they probably spent a large part of the budget on it. But this looks more like an action movie than anything else. Maybe we'll get lucky and this will be just like how kids movies in the late 80's and early 90's were and have scenes that will scare the living shit out of the younger viewers?

I mean it already looks like they're going to be visiting the land of the dead or some sort of Valhalla.

It's not a Kelpie, it is supposedly a Nokk. Kelpie like in some variations and some myths include the Kelpie but the Nokk is also a separate thing with additional myths attached too it, different area too I believe. Kelpie traditionally attempts to lure victims to water to drown them, here's a creepy comic to illustrate.

The ocean is amazingly rendered but I find the switch to the horse being cartoon-y and Else's GIANT eyes to be really jarring, some of the edits artist have done with her having a slightly more realistic face are much better looking. I'm sure it'll be nice to look at and parents will absolutely hate it. I do wonder if they'll be exploring Kristoff's past. They show those two new human characters in one of the trailers, lots of people think the girl is the Queen whose Anna and Elsa's mother? but it's more logical they're Kristoff's birth parents.

I think we're all missing the most important question: When does Elsa declare herself a proud lesbian and start sucking face with another female character? Does the ice horse turn into a girl and start sucking face with Elsa? Do Elsa and Anna discover that they're not really sisters and decide to become semi-incestuous lesbian lovers? Does Olaf get a sex change and become a proud, trans-snowwoman? Come on! All of Twitter PROMISED that this would be the first Disney film with an openly gay main character! Just giving her any romance will be enough to piss off the feminists/asexuals/people who don't give a shit about romance. They'll keep her single to keep both audiences still consuming their product. I think when Frozen first started out, they planned for her to eventually fall in love with Hans, but once Tumblr and the #GiveElsaaGirlfriend crowd exploded, there was no going back.

That can't be right Hans was the antagonist, he's probably the only character Disney pulled off that worked with subverting expectations.
