Lolcows tend to search for themselves to see how many asspats and epeens people in the internet are giving them and wind up discovering threads about them rather quickly. While some cows tend to ignore us or make passive aggressive tweets about us, some make an account and try to defend their honor. While some are very civil (the tampon guy, Jennfer, sammyclassicsonicfan) others have not been (Len Shaner, Donny Long, etc.)
When the uncivil cows show up, people have a tendency to repeat things to the cows. For Shaner, it was youtube vids of train wrecks. For Donny Long, it was people repeating "YOU HAVE AIDS" or "YOU ARE GAY". For Jake it's been repeating "CUCK" over and over again. At best, this leads to the thread being barely readable for ten to twenty pages at a time. At worst, it scares off the lolcow.
So how do we prevent this sort of behavior? Should I go onto /cow/ and bitch about it? Should I pay $20 so I can make fun of them in the supporters subforum? Well, the $20 would be nice, but Wildchild's nudes stored in there is worth that alone.
So what should you do if someone starts shitting up a lolcow's thread with attention whoring notice me sempai behavior?

I've taken on a lot of responsibility at work recently. If you haven't noticed, I've been relatively inactive these past few months in comparison to my regular schedule to the point where rumors of my death were spread while I was at a conference. Most of the time, I'm only able to check my messages, alerts, and reports. This means that I don't have a feel for what's going on in a lot of threads/subforums and rely on the reports feature to help keep the forum running. Unfortunately, instead of reporting bad posts, people usually just complain about it in a thread in supporters that I won't see until days after the fact. I can't speak for other mods, but I'm sure nobody other than @AnOminous reads every single post here.

Sure, we all do. Engage them civilly, ask questions, let the milk flow. If all the forum members in a thread engage the cow civilly and speaks to them like an adult while the cow flails around and looks like a jackass, it's funny. Debate them, criticize their viewpoints, ask about their personal life in the hopes that they reveal sensitive information. If someone like Jake Rapp shows up and members shriek "CUCK" over and over again without engaging him on anything he's trying to say... well it kind of proves whatever point him and his wife were trying to make about us.
If a cow ignores something that you ask or say to them, don't ask more than twice. If it's absolutely essential that you get an answer to that question, PM them instead of posting it twenty times in the threads.
