Speaking of eyes wide shut, there's a conspiracy theory that Stanley Kubrick made the film in attempt to warn the world about the secret inner workings of the Illuminati. He added in copius amounts of sex to where it's practically porn as a way to distract the higher ups at Warner Bros who would definitely be members.
