I only watch international football championships every two years and don't bother with following European or local club competitions.

Me too man, since I live in the "Soccer Country" everything around here is about soccer. I can't get it.

Mano, I get that. Seriously.
I don't really care about sports. But in BRlandia you are truly obliged to have a favorite team. I can't count how many times people asked me which team I like.
e cacete velho quando chegou o album de figurinhas da Copa foi BOOM, ta em todo lugar agora.

Yeah, it's funny when someone asks you what is your favorite team and you say that you doesn't have one.
I do actually have a fave team (Fluminense), though.
É porque começou a vir com o jornal de domingo. É mais divertido completar o virtual (será que fizeram um esse ano?)

Ah, fui pesquisar, acabei no site da Fifa. Pensei que tinha, mas vi que era a de 2010 :( The Fifa In The Pickle Suit tricked me again

Manchester United is not qualifying for the Champion's League for the first time in 19 years and we're not even on the top 4 of the Premiership. We better learn from this year's lesson. With Wayne Rooney leaving Old Trafford, the team now needs a new legitimate striker that can provide more firepower that van Persie and Chicarito had.

Glory, glory Man United. I'm a Red Devil until the end!

To be fair Mike Ashley is a shit owner. I know I'd rather have him than Tan, or Yeung, or the Venky's (or I guess in the long run the Glazers), but with the resources Newcastle have they should be doing a lot better, and this day and age no club should go for something like one and a half years without buying a player. And Pardew is basically just a yes man.

Anyway, the Football League finished today, with the mighty Wolves crowned Champions of League One. Apart from still having O'Hara and his lot on the books, I couldn't really have asked for a better season. The only way is up from here, and I wouldn't rule us out from getting promotion next year too.

Boy now, MUFC have narrowed down the choices for the next managers of Old Trafford. It's either Louis Van Gaal or Roberto Martinez, don't get me wrong they both have that character to be a MU manager, but I think Roberto Di Matteo also have that hunger after he got sacked by Abrhamovic at Stamford Bridge.

Di Matteo have tons of potential and have that winning mentality and killer instinct, something that Moyes don't have.

Ugly scenes at the Memorial Stadium as Bristol Rovers are relegated to non-league football.

Anyway, hoping for Atletico Madrid to win their La Liga title despite their shock loss to Levante. They've been playing quite well this seasons and hoping them to break the Barcelona and Real Madrid's two-horse dominance.

Nah, half the reason Moyes failed was because he couldn't put the old boys of United in their place. They need a manager who had lots of experience, and is willing to give any player a proper bollocking, even if they are a United legend like Giggs or Rooney. Moyes couldn't do that, I don't think Di Matteo or Roberto Martinez could do that, but I think Van Gaal could.

And there's that too. But to be honest, the management should have given Moyes a chance like how they gave Sir Alex Ferguson a chance for like 4 years before clinching their first silverware under him. Rome wasn't built in a day and so as the Manchester United that we know today. As for Di Matteo and Martinez, I really see that Manchester United spunk in them. Hungry, determined, fierce, vocal, calm and clever tacticians too. I really want Van Gaal to handle the Red Devils but if the deal really don't pan out, then it's down to those two.

Too bad Jurgen Klopp really enjoys working for Borrussia Dortmund. We really want him in the club.

I don't think they ever should have hired Moyes in the first place. He did a brilliant job at Everton, getting them from relegation fodder to challenging for European qualification, but he just sort of stagnated. His record against top clubs was atrocious, and his playing style wasn't impressing Everton fans either. He seemed a mid-table manager at best, and he kept that mid-table mentality at United. He just wasn't good enough. The only reason they hired him was to pander to SAF. While I do think Moyes joined United at possibly the worst time, after their most successful manager ever, with a squad in desperate need of rejuvenation, he never would have fit anyway.

I don't think either Di Matteo or Martinez have the experience or the prestige to properly manager United, especially at this time. Di Matteo has only managed three clubs. He did nothing special at either MK Dons or West Brom, and he only got silverware with Chelsea by parking the bus and pandering to the old players, something which he can't afford to do at a rapidly declining United. Martinez, again, has only managed lower class clubs up until Everton. While I think he did a really good job at Swansea and Wigan, I think he has been overrated at Everton, especially seeing that United and Tottenham, clubs you'd expect to be competing for Europe, have been really poor this year. The real test for Martinez and Everton will come next year, when hopefully Tottenham, Man United, and perhaps even Southampton step up their game.

What United need is experience and balls. Van Gaals offers that, and even though Di Matteo and Martinez may be options in the future, they definitely aren't suitable now.

The question is whether Louis Van Gaal will sign for the Red Devils or not. Manchester United can't just rely on one option right now. Time is running fast and next season is on its way. Not to mention players leaving for the Red Devils after this season who don't want their contracts to be renewed. We have so much things to do, our defensive line is not going to be as stable as before with Vidic leaving. Ferdinand, Evra et al. are not getting younger though our midfield is now fixed thank goodness for Januzaj and Mata coming to fill that gaps.

So far, no response from Van Gaal. Klopp already stated that as flattering as the offer is, he's not leaving BVB. We're kind of running out of options when it comes to experienced managers. I like Ancelotti but he's already with Real Madrid and he's enjoying himself there. Maybe Ole Gunnar Skosjaer, because he have a great track record in managing FC Norsejerlland(correct my spelling if I'm wrong) back in Norway though his managing stint at Cardiff City is really sucking at this late stage of the season.
