I heard knowing Japanese is not required. I'm not sure how that would work.You would think he would have at least a bit of knowledge about Japan after working there for a bit. I guess being a major weeb he probably just went to Akihabara and did other stupid weeb shit while making no effort to meet any Japanese people or actually take in some of the culture. Also something to keep in mind it takes basically no skill to teach English in Japan. Anyone with a college degree in literally anything can get hired as an English teacher since they want them so badly, too bad a lot of them are lazy weebs that suck at teaching, have poor social skills and probably can't speak Japanese beyond some of the very basic phrases. Believe me, I've heard from some Japanese people about how shitty the English teachers from the US are, and they won't explain something in Japanese if the students can't understand it, because they don't know how.
Back on topic, I think I first heard of him during Game Theory's video about Final Fantasy and religion arguing that Square Enix must have something against organized religion. I remember thinking that they were way off base with their theory but I don't remember, I'll link it if I don't feel too lazy.
