Games and Jay -

Dork Of Ages

I'm only marginally acquainted with GK, so I can't guarantee this game will synergize with his psych profile, but I'm going to suggest "Ghost Master!"

http://store.steampowered.com/app/6200/

Basically, it's a real time strategy game where you command a team of poltergeists, specters and spooks and stuff. It's from 2006, so it should run on Jay's computer... IIRC, it has some mild puzzle elements for the completionist, but shouldn't be too frustrating for someone on the first playthrough. BTW, its tone tends more towards juvenile than actually scary, so I doubt he'll chicken out, ala FN@F. (did he chicken out of that game, am I remembering that right? Like I said, I don't really follow GK)

But where I'm thinking this game could really hit the JAYckpot, is there's a number of levels where the primary objective is to terrify a sorority full of nubile, scantily clad (possibly barefooted, don't remember) young ladies with supernatural entities. Also, I don't recall if GK has authority-figure issues, but there's levels where you scare the crap out of police officers, doctors & nurses, priests.

And, it's only five bucks on Steam.

Jay definitely has to play this game. I am saying this because fucking Tyce has it.

Something like State of Emergency would be interesting to see Jay play. Given its age and simplicity it's something I could see Jay probably enjoying, plus it'd be interesting to see if he chooses the more complex path of only targeting corrupt government officials or the easier path of mowing down waves of innocent civilians.

I'm not sure of how much he would understand of it but I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream might be interesting to watch him see how he reacts to darker moral themes. The section with Nimdok might also reveal a few more things about his views on Auschwitz; he already compares any of his minor discomforts with the Holocaust so it'd be interesting to see how he reacts when actually confronting realistic depictions of it.

Nah, he couldn't figure out how to not get shot in a game by simply dropping a shield like he'd accidently done a zillion times, an actual point-and-click like No Mouth would be agonizing to have to guide him through simply to make him play something set in WWII. Plus, GK is evidently the kind of guy AM would subject to something like those trials since in order to "succeed" the characters would need to do something they psychologically could not bring themselves to do for whatever reason. For GK, his challenge would be maybe "To destroy me, AM, you must eat a footlong subway sandwich filled with vegetables. In a resturaunt that looks like Freddy Fazbear's Pizza place except all the robots are squirrels. At 2:00 AM"

If it's holocaust-like conditions you want, Asura's Wrath probably would be a good option since IIRC the main power source for the bad guys is basically harvested by their total disregard for collateral damage and the millions of humans who they harvest the souls of in the process. And the main plot point is rescuing Asura's daughter who totally has a Blossom-like hair ornament so there's incentive for him to keep playing (and we can only hope in such a case he actually gets enough S rank totals to unlock the true secret ending...where god himself shows up to kick Asura's - and in this situation, Jay's - pasty ass into nothing.)

He'd probably get really upset in the part where you're about to grope that lady in the hot springs and Augus knocks the shit out of you.

I was going to suggest Spec-Ops: The Line as it features several moral choices, lots of carnage, graphic violence and a twist ending but I feel like the point of the story would just bounce off The Turquoise Turnip's mulleted skull. It would be wasted on him.

Then there's games like Skyrim and Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas but I can see that just turning into The Pissant Peasant going around killing animals that have the gall to exist on the same plane as him. Then again it would be funny to see him get his ass kicked by a dragon or deathclaw, assuming he doesn't cheat and turn on god mode.

Since Jay just likes pointless carnage I guess something like Dead Rising would be up his street.

To be honest though, I can't stand his stupid voice so I won't last long in any stream he makes.

I'd possibly suggest Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne., just to see what alignment Jay would take. It's not as simple as "Lawful Knight Templar" and "Chaotic Darwinist Anarchy" in that same, so it's kinda up in the air which path he would choose.

Granted, he'd never touch it because it's a JRPG.

The thing about games like Skyrim and Fallout is that he loads his games with mods. If that's okay with people, fair enough. As far as giving him something new and challenging him I don't think it would make for a fun watch.

I was going to suggest "SimCity" since that gives control and all, but it's a slow game that requires patience. And no killing.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the God of War series.

Unless he doesn't have a PS2/PS3?

Just checked the games he completed list from his DA.
A couple of PS2 games are included in that list.

He still might have his PS2 in a storage somewhere or he sold it off.

Does he have a PS3? If so Alpha Protocol would be interesting. It's a game where you create your own Gary Stu secret agent and the choices you make influence the gameplay, its only like 5 bucks used.

I mod my games too, once I've explored the base game enough. I don't think there's anything wrong with modding the game as long as he's only doing it to add more content and not just throwing in ridiculously over powered armour and weapons... what am I saying? Of course he will.

It's literally the only reason he likes mods. He likes being completely in control of a situation because in reality he has none.

I really want to see him play a game where he's forced into a situation where he has no control just to see his reaction. It would be good if he thinks he's in control and it slowly dawns him that he has none. Problem is that not many games do that.

That was kind of accomplished with Five Nights at Freddy's, because he kept ruminating over and over about if he had a gun or a weapon the animatronics would be toast. Sadly, it's a horror game, and the only reason he continued playing was because everyone in chat kept cheering him on and stopped him from pussying out.

Maybe we can get him to try Outlast then.

He ought to play Crusader Kings 2. He could pick a really easy country to play as, exercise his sadism to any extent he desires, and eventually get overthrown when it comes to pass that he's too dumb to understand the games mechanics.

Jay seems to quite like history, and given his interest in being a supreme leader and strategy games it might be interesting to see Jay take on political simulators like Democracy 3, Tropico 5 or Floor 13. They would give him total control over a whole country, are filled with statistical information (slightly off-topic but I wonder if he prefers games filled with statistical information like The Sims 3 or RTS games because due to his autism he needs to have very blunt, factual instructions given to him in order to know how to play), however they would force him to come out of his comfort zone when he realises his actions will cause his country to spiral out of control. Possibly even Papers, Please could be interesting; he wouldn't be supreme leader, but it would be interesting to see if he thrives being in any position of authority where he can control people's fate.

The Attack on Titan fangame is pretty damn fun once you learn the controls. I think I'll pass it along to Jay, but not tell him about Eren's special ability.

What happens when you take a fat alcoholic with a dying show and watch him play video games where he sucks, doesn't say anything funny nor insightful, and can't be bothered to learn how to properly play?
